Get in as a backpacker and at the reception they came to help me.Demonstrate in simple words what this great hostel offers...Excellent attention, closeness, good energy, cleanliness, breakfast, art, music and the best that the staff can make you feel at home.Very central, 10 or 15 minutes from LAPA on foot, 5 minutes from the beach of Flamengo and next to the Glória metro station.Completely recommended if you want to have an unforgettable trip, no doubt to return, thank you for everything.

It is excellent.

Very convenient location - near the subway, buses that go to Copocamba, Pao de Azúcar, to the statue of Christ. The area of Lama with music and samba is a five-minute walk away, and to the port and center of old Rio you can walk in 20 minutes... Basically and to the airport, which is in the center of the city, in 30 minutes... Women's rooms are next to the reception, 2 blocks for 6 seats... Basically, quiet and quiet, shower rooms and toilets are next door. In the morning there is breakfast. The hostel is clean and tidy.

Central location (near the old town)

I really enjoyed my stay here. It's a really interesting and charming building that's been retrofitted with all the stuff you need for a comfy stay. The beds were behind screens so it's quite private, breakfast was good, decent security and internet, and the location is also fantastic, within walking distance of Lapa. You could almost stumble into the metro by mistake in the morning, it's so close. 

Ignore the bad review! 

I stayed in the month of November and enjoyed the atmosphere of the hostel, Brazilian art and culture, the decoration, the location, the cost/benefit, the breakfast is good for travelers, it has important lockers when you travel alone and best of all is the attention, they are very collaborative, help you with your destinations, suggest places to meet and provide the greatest hospitality, so I recommend this place and in my next visit to Rio de Janeiro (because I want to return, I fell in love with Rio), visit Habitat Carioca and the great people who work there.

Like at home....

We booked a 3 bed dorm for 1 night through Hostelworld. However, when we arrived at the hostel, we were informed by the receptionist that a 3 bed dorm did not exist. In reality, there is an 18 bed dorm and 12 bed dorm in the building. We wouldn't have booked had we known this, and although we were given a third off the price because the booking was completely misleading, there was not enough capacity for us to stay together as a group, so we had to split up and sleep at opposite ends of the building. Beds are divided with a sheet of plastic so at times it feels as if you are sleeping in the same bed as a stranger. The beds were also uncomfortable. The air con didn't work in the 18 bed dorm, so the member of our party there was unable to sleep for most of the night. The hostal was not particularly clean, and compared to other available hostels in the same area, is very overpriced.

The English-speaking receptionist was extremely helpful and apologetic to us, which we really appreciated. However, the fact that what we booked did not exist means that we would not recommend staying here to anyone. We left as quickly as possible.
