When I first arrived in Recife and got to the hostel I was a bit sceptical because I thought the location was a bit uneasy because there was a huge ruccus out on the roads, but later learnt that there was a street music festival happening later on that night hence the big crowd. The hostel is located on the second floor which makes for a great vantage point. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was a great selection. The hosts were friendly and one of them took a bunch of us out to the nearby city of Olinda for no charge. It's located pretty much near all the main touristic sites and just across the bridge is where all the street markets are which is an amazing place to wonder and get lost in hehe. Highly recommended

Surprisingly good

Lovely hostel in a great position in downtown. Big and clean room with very very confortable bed. The helptful staff give us all the advice we needed. I really like also the decor of the main room. The hostel provide a fast free wifi and a pc.

Great place in downtown

Located in the historic center, nice & safe place ! Very clean, cheap, well decorated but the breakfast is not included. The only negative point is that the dorms are quite small with bunk bed of 3 levels and we had to take our bags at like 8pm (so a bit early if you have a late flight).

Nice place

Located well in the historic center, the hostel is clean and has lots of space. The rooms are with ac and fans at night. Staff is super helpful and the beds are nice. 
A few negatives...the rooms are cramped and could do with one bunk fewer. There's no breakfast (but I knew that), but on Sundays EVERYTHING is closed in this part of town so it's a bit difficult.

Solid choice and would return

The bunk beds have 3 levels, very short space in between you have to squeeze in and out can't sit up. Sheets crumpled can't tell if changed or not. Only one couch and the brown seats has gone black, upper area has literally mattresses with bed sheets. Some pots but only one deformed small pan. 2 bathrooms both water heaters are broken, but didn't advertise cold water only. No breakfast, don't know why they have a breakfast pic on booking.com. The reception refused to make a call within the city when needed. First night was 35, 2nd night went up to 43 without pre-notice. The whole hostel is more like a wearhouse with very empty decorations. You have to walk to 3rd floor to the hostel, no balcony or terrace. In a block of less than 100 meters long, one side is a whole building getting refurbished, the other side the street is under construction, the loud drilling starts at 7:30 am, feels like you're right on site and doesn't look like its gonna finish any time soon. The only good thing is the historic neighborhoods close to the malecon and river. I rate 2 stars for the neighborhood, the hostel has nothing good.
