Pousada Anjali is the perfect little hideaway.
Beautiful green surroundings make you forget any stress. It‘s a place to relax, connect with nature and yourself. No luxury - but no need for it. Everything made with Love and care!
Amalia, Yodok and their beautiful baby girls are the most amazing hosts and make you feel at home.
Incredible breakfast with home-baked bread and other delicacies.

I stayed at Pousada Anjali recently and had a marvelous time. The hosts, Vinicius and Douglas, were helpful and fun, and ensured that we had everything we needed (from bottled water to mosquito nets). The accommodations are sumptuous. Hammocks on the porch, comfortable beds, kitchen facilities too for left overs and early morning coffee. Beautiful rooms built with tropical hardwoods, overlooking the bird filled jungle. Rooms are very private, yet also open to the outside. A short 5 minute walk to a quiet beach. Maria provided delicious breakfasts daily. Although I don’t speak any Portuguese, my hosts anticipated my queries ( milk for coffee, requests for clean towels, laundry service requests) and communication was easy. I traveled here through Mango tours (Deanna Figuera, also the owner of The Pousada). I was extremely pleased with the comfort and security of the accommodations. Short walks lead to the port, downtown area, and numerous beaches. Porter service delivered our luggage to the Pousada which also helped. 

Isla de Boipeba

Great location (4min from the beach, less than 10min from the village), delicious breakfast and lovely staff (always and ready to help). There are many good restaurants around. Staying at Anjali was a big pleasure! I highly recommend it!

The best place to stay in Boipeba

The whole experience in this place was  amazing. 1. Vinícius, the manager, is just so sweet. He contacted me right after the reservation for payment procedures and as soon as we arrived he took some time to kindly share some overall tips of the island. 2. The rooms resemble tree houses with a lovely balcony facing a lot of green. It is spacious and it has a kitchen (which might be a good option for those who would rather cook their own food like me). There is a hammock in the balcony and your breakfast is served right there (Dona Maria prepares the best treats!!), so you can enjoy the view and the hear the birds sing in the morning. 3. It is fairly well-located, but it is a ten-minute trail (short-cut through the mall). Might be a good idea to pay for one of locals to help you with heavy luggage (we were backpacking so it was OK for us). If I could, I would have stayed longer. The island is amazing, the people are awesome.

 Toda a experiência no lugar foi incrível. 1. Vinícius, o gerente, é um amorzinho. Ele contatou-me logo após a reserva para os procedimentos de pagamento e, assim que chegamos, nos recepcionou para compartilhar algumas dicas gerais da ilha. 2. Os quartos parecem com casas na árvore com uma varanda com uma vista para às árvores. É espaçoso e tem uma cozinha (que pode ser uma boa opção para aqueles que preferem fazer sua própria comida como eu). Há uma rede na varanda e seu café da manhã é servido lá (Dona Maria prepara os melhores quitutes !!), para que você possa apreciar a vista e ouvir os pássaros cantando pela manhã. 3. Está bastante bem localizado, mas é uma trilha de dez minutos (atalho através do shopping).  Pode ser uma boa idéia pagar por um dos carregadores locais para ajudar com bagagens pesadas (nós estávamos mochilando, então foi tranquilo). Se pudesse, eu ficaria mais tempo. A ilha é impressionante, as pessoas são incríveis...

In love with this place! - Apaixonada por esse lugar!

We stayed at the Pousada for 7 nights and overall enjoyed our stay in Boipeba. The property is located close to the beach and the rooms/surrounding property are absolutely beautiful. We really enjoyed just hanging out on our balcony and looking at the nearby forest. The breakfast, made by Dona Maria, is fabulous and highly recommended.

The one thing that really bothered us was the service, which made us feel uncomfortable at times. First, it was unclear which common areas we could use at the main house, because the internet is terrible in the rooms. Breakfast started out being served on the veranda of the main house, but in the middle of our stay, we received a text saying that “our service was being changed” and that breakfast would now be served on the balcony of our room. This was without explanation and extremely inconvenient for us, as we felt that it was an invasion of our privacy. 

We would also not recommend the laundry service, as it was expensive and our clothes smelled worse after. Also, avoid the proprietors’ dog as it has a tendency to bite. While we understand that this was the proprietors’ first month running the pousada, we still thought that the service should have been more transparent and thoughtful.
