62 reviewsThis is a clean, spacious place with a friendly, welcoming vibe. The owner and his wife are so friendly and helpful. They speak English, Spanish, and Portuguese. When I arrived I had a reservation for an 8 bed dorm, but the owner offered to place me in a 4 bedroom because the 8 bedroom had only guys, and he was concerned about me being comfortable. So sweet and thoughtful! It's a little far from the center but you can take a cheap van to downtown. I wish I had more time to spend here. The breakfast is super tasty, with hot coffee, fresh juices, fruit, bread, cake, etc. I'm not sure which countries tourists might come from at other times of the year, but it helps to know Spanish, as Buzios receives many foreigners from Argentina. One tip about the shower: If you put the pressure on too high, it might not heat up properly, so turn it on gently. A few tips about the trip to Arraial do Cabo: It's a very good bargain (130 reais) as transport and a buffet are included. However, you don't eat until the end of the tour, at about 4 or 5pm, so it's a good idea to bring some snacks (though you can also buy some on the boat). The nature you'll see is stunning, but the boat can be crowded, and the tour guide only spoke Spanish and Portuguese. It was fine for me since I'm fluent in Spanish, but I recommend knowing some before you go.
