Santa Cruz de la Sierra

One of the principal reasons for staying there was the location - easy walking distance from the main square, but also from trufis to Buena Vista and Samaipata. It is also on a relatively quite street, bonus given what the traffic is like in Santa Cruz. The staff was kind and accommodating, not all of them equally competent - some seemed to just be starting and learning the ropes. There was a well functioning air conditioner. 
The water temperature in the showers was fluctuating. I tried 2 private rooms, in one there was actually no hot water, so had to go to the communal shower. In both cases the shower doors were badly placed / not closing, so bathroom floor would get wet every time. In one room there was TV, in the other not. The breakfast was rather nothing special, tasteless omelette, some bread and jam, tea or coffee. Of first day fruit were left out for self-service, next time some small quantity was given on a plate, guess people ate too much fruit... Can´t say that I was sorry to have missed the breakfast on 2 days when I had to leave early, as it only starts at 8 am. Also not sure why I was declared to be no-show for one part of may stay, even though I definitely showed up. Anyway the pay is collected a day before arrival directly from the card, so not sure what that was all about. In any case despite all these hiccups I found it to be OK enough and stayed for 4 nights. The reviews of some other places in Santa Cruz convinced me that the price was good and the complaints not that big in comparison to what else is to be had in that city.

Was not great, was not so bad either

Bedbugs in the room and every beds. A guy asked for another room, they remove the mattress but let the bed structure and no one adviced other people of the room. We figured it out the next morning, with bugs in our clothes. 
The staff didn’t refund the night and we had to insist to have the money of the second night back. 
Really bad place.

Bedbugs, staff dishonest and unhelpful

We slept one night, one of our roommates asked to change rooms because he had bed bugs, so his mattress was removed and an empty bed dial that was in the dorm room. We were absolutely not informed of the problem and I slept on the bed above his. In short, we stayed until one night, nobody apologized, we were not refunded and after checking there were bed bugs in other dormitories. Take another hotel and enjoy the city!

Bed bugs and mismanagement

The location is very good in the center of the city, the rooms are large with very comfortable and clean beds with air conditioning all day and wi fi service, very friendly personnel attention in reception all day, a large terrace with a beautiful view of the city in addition to a clean and complete kitchen and with a games room like ping pong and others i pass a good stay !

RECOMMENDED HOSPITALITY OPTION IN SANTA CRUZ

The hostel has very good location, is in the center of the city, near to supermarkets, central markets and stores.
The rooms are very comfortable and spacious with air conditioning and pleasant beds,Also have a terrace with great view of the city and if you need to cook the place has a kitchen equipped that you can use.
The staff was very friendly and help us a lot with information from the city.

A very safe place, everything very clean and cozy and close to the main square,where you can find, exchange houses, craft markets, museums.

Double room was huge, clean and comfortable. 
Common areas were basic and the ‘bar’ isn’t really a bar at all but somewhere you can buy drinks from not for socialising. 
WiFi wasn’t great. Breakfast was classic for SA and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Basic but comfy

Expensive for two bedroom beds, accessible kitchen but very limited level of utensils, clean shower and sanitation limit... proper accommodation but you'll find much more charming and comfortable closer to downtown.

Not very clean.

We booked with friends by booking mainly because of the proximity to the center, about 4 squares. Very friendly staff and good guides of tours, bars, etc. Rich breakfast if you get up early, with fruit, coffee, bread and more.

Excellent hostel near the center.

Excellent service, very committed to their guests, there is an excellent atmosphere, a place totally clean and maintained by its own owners, who solve your doubts instantly.
