On request it is possible to use portable thermosphones and have more bodies. The cleaning is not the best, stained roof, old blankets and sheet not particularly lindo. A simple and unpretentious base for a night in La Paz, considering that it is about 10/15 min. walking distance from Plaza San Francisco and the Armentia stop of the cable car. It is located in a street to the city and pedestrian, so external noises but, unfortunately, many interiors although the props are thin... The hotel is very well equipped because it is a planned service: there are not many rooms on the ground floor, but you can make reservations on the main floor, but only a few rooms are available, but you can book a number of rooms and a few rooms on the ground floor, but you can only pay a few guests and check-in on the floor.

An unconditional base for one night in La Paz

A Great location, this hostal had lots of charm and the day staff were great, they spoke English and were very helpful with all out questions and offered advice when we told them what we wanted to do. Nice view from the roof too. 

Comfortable room, fantastic location.

The hotel is a medium-sized hotel (one fifteen rooms), in the center of La Paz, near the bus terminal (ideal for taking a night bus). Basic hotel but with a good price ratio. There are a few common areas and a small very basic kitchen (microwave). The staff is nice and the atmosphere is calm, which is a good point in my opinion, but not really conducive to meeting between travelers. My room was on the first floor. It was spacious, quiet and would have been nice. It would have been cold at night and at night (I'm cold) because of the poor thermal insulation but the hotel had enough family heating and a heating system, so it wasn't too busy at the hotel, so I didn't think there were any clean rooms on the 1st floor, but I would have preferred to have a bathroom or bathroom.

Good price/quality ratio for a quiet room

We stayed at the Ananay hostel for 4 nights. We were four and occupied an entire room, very large and bright with private bathroom. The price, probably higher than the average in the city, remains largely affordable for any Western backpacker. The entrance and floor are made of wood and tastefully cared for, thus giving a very welcoming atmosphere to the whole hostel. Breakfast, included in the price, includes fried eggs, coffee or tea and fruit. The staff is very kind and available for any request for advice about the city and surroundings. Many bus companies and travel agencies from various countries know the hostel and often if you want to make the proposed excursions you can take it directly here.

Nice hostel on the most beautiful and romantic street in town.

We stayed a total of 3 nights in this very nice hotel in La Paz, looking out over a charming pedestrian street and above all very quiet. The hotel does not have a seal but the bed is frankly desirable! Shows can be a little scary with electrical connections near the water but no worries for us. The welcome is perfect!

Charming but moderately comfortable

The hostel is all fine for the price, but the negative is that the shower seems dangerous because of the electrical cans and wires that are open, and the person at the reception didn't speak English on the day we arrived.

Nice hostel.

what reprieve from the chaos that is a paz. funky yet tasteful decor. basic though in total fairness budget. everything worked. a n awesome view from their roof top. I would definately stay there again. score would've been 5 stars if a little more english speakers on staff.

We stayed in Ananay hostel for 3 nights during our backpacking trip in S.A. On arrival we were greeted with a warm smile and friendly advice from Miguel. On check in we were given the option to choose our room(as all the rooms are different) We decided to stay in room number 1 which had a lovely little open balcony to the front of the hostel. The room was fantastic, bright and airy. The hostel provides heaters making the room cosy in the evenings (helpful during winter). Despite being at the front of the hostel over looking the main walkway we found the room to be very quiet and slept very well. The shower can be temperamental but provides hot water all day! We found this to be a luxury in S.A.

Warm, Friendly and cosy stay in the centre of La Paz 

The hostel is an excellent location, close to a cable car station, a few blocks from the bus terminal, walking to Mercado Lanza, Plaza Murillo, Mercado de las Brujas, Iglesia San Francisco, etc. The staff is very friendly, always willing to collaborate with the traveler.

Centric and comfortable.

Love this hostel. It's in a cool alley with cafes and art galleries. The private rooms are huge and provide heaters. The roof top terrace has a great view and there are little common areas everywhere. The staff were all awesome and helpful. But yeah, like the other reviews say... don't touch the showers unless you want to cop a boot
