The hotel has very large traditional rooms, the hosts were very helpful with very good English, and the complimentary continental breakfast was quite literally fresh from the bakers. I would highly recommend staying here.

Wonderful building

We stayed here one night to go home to the Casino de Spa (just next door). It is a very beautiful home where the couple of owners put all their passion to restore and maintain in an old-fashioned atmosphere. The couple is very warm and will be sure to tell you the stories of the place.

It's a very nice place.

I stayed in Spa to relax one night before driving 4 hours to come back to the Netherlands. The place is very well located and only 5 to minutes walking (down the hill)to the centrum. I would not recommend at all this hotel for handicapped. If your room is upstairs take with you only the minimum.
The owners are extremely nice and welcoming (they spoke french and netherlands to me). I was in a single room, which was even bigger that in some hotels. 
The breakfast very good, coffee, juice, hard boiled egg, ham, cheese, etc..perfect.
Different toilets spread through the location and only 2 showers (this is my only minus point).

One night in Spa

A few steps from central Spa, stayed in the Vlinder Room (the one with butterflies), at  the back of the building. Very quiet.  OK, no toilet in the room, but it can be found on the landing.  I was astonished to find how clean the room was. It is located very near the centre of Spa.  Amazingly convenient during the Francofolies.  Located steps away from Scène Pierre Rapsat !  Definitively somewhere I will go back to.

Feels like home !

Convenient location: close to the city centre and the opportunity to enjoy nature (by the trail you can get to Thermes de Spa bypassing the funicular). There is a beautiful recreation area around the villa with the opportunity to cook a barbecue.

Nice room carefully decorated like the old one, nice breakfast, ideal for a stop between two hikes, visiting the spa, trying out the spas...the owners are nice and showed us the brocante's living room.

Duration of stay: 2 nights Pro: - Very helpful and friendly hosts - Beautiful old lovingly restored house in the middle of nature - Quiet yet central environment (town centre and spa are within walking distance) - Hosts speak very good English - Good and rich breakfast Contra: - No indication of conclusion: It was a very pleasant and relaxing stay. At the hot Hotelelluxus (fitness studio, bathroom/WC and TV in the room) you have to skip this accommodation, but you will hardly find a hotel with both the charm and the business experience of the families that the accommodation can offer.

Very nice, authentic accommodation

We just spent one night here due to a wedding we were invited to, but what a lovely place. The rooms are very clean, good quality beds and the owners are very friendly people. You do have to share the restrooms (there's one on each floor) with the other rooms on the floor and there's one showerroom for all the rooms (9 or 10 in total), but everything is very clean and neat.
Pricing compared to other places in Spa is very good and the breakfast is excellent.

Excellent B&B

If you are looking for a true homelike atmosphere, the Hébergement Chatoîment is just the place for you.  This home is warm, inviting and the updates and renovations kept in line with the period of the building. Inside the home is a lovely comfortably furnished salon and a music room with piano and seating.  The home is VERY clean, mold-free and aesthetically pleasing.

Situated at the top of an incline and the end of a street, provides a quiet retreat. There is a lovely sitting area in the front garden, as well as once in the back of the home, complete with a BBQ area.

The property sit directly against the wood, where walking paths are found, one of which leads up to the Thermes de Spa, which can be seen from the home, and, if one desires, may be walked to through the wood on the paths.

The breakfast room comfortably seats 12 to 15 individuals and offers standard fare of cheeses, daily fresh bakery breads, jams, coffee, teas, milk and a nice hot boiled egg and sliced ham are available. Breakfast is self-serve.  Guests may choose the time they prefer breakfast.  Breakfast starts around 0800 through 1030.

The owners are most accommodating to their guests to ensure your stay is pleasant and comfortable. Being extremely educated, well spoken, well-travelled individuals, who are versed in several languages fluently with working knowledge of several others, one may engage in intelligent conversation when their limited time allows.

During my visit, I was not only provided a brochure on the local area, but loaned a walking map of the paths through the village, wood and up to the moors.  The owners took time to inform me of the various spring (spas) and their locations and points of interests.

Small dogs are welcome, but please ask the owner first when making your reservation.

As with many homes, one may sign out a set of towels, or simply bring your own.  For most rooms, there are "shared showers" which simply means there are showers, down the hall which provide privacy, but they are available for all guests to use.  There are rooms available where there is a private toilet, but for the most part, this too is "shared"...again, there is privacy.  It is advised to bring a robe due to the need for leaving the room to use the loo or the showers. Also, one might purchase a SPA towel at the visitor centre if you don't want to borrow a set of towels of the house.

Each room has a key and you are provided a key to the front door so that you may come and go at will.

The prices of the rooms are affordable.

Parking on the street across from the home is free.  The walk to the Information Centre is perhaps 2.5 blocks and 4 to the village park where you will find the lift next to the Radisson which takes you up to Thermes de Spa.  The cost for the lift is 3 Euro round trip.  Other points of interest would be the Church, within 4 blocks of the home.  This really is a fantastic place to stay!!!

Home Away from Home

The house was a family boarding house when it was built in 1850 and the current owners are trying successfully to recreate the atmosphere of the time, by decoration, the fruit of their brocante research and respect for the architecture of the place. On the ground floor, left: two rooms with piano available only for the pianist. On the right: the dining room where the well-groomed breakfast is served which you are invited to take the leftovers for the picnic. During the breakfast, the guests are happy to listen to your requests and in this respect we are advised to walk together to our waiting rooms. The card is also warm, after family consultation. In the basement, we find the large kitchen (the kitchen has a room of nine) where there was no break for meals, and the bathroom is very close to the hotel.
