Hotel Van Reeth's Koffiebranderij

What a lovely place - so friendly, and really welcoming place to stay. The hotel is an unusual mix - part coffee shop, (not like a place to go to drink coffee, but a place to buy bags of coffee beans, and chocolate and cakes - a really great and interesting shop - and then the hotel reception is linked to that. The reception area is super-welcoming, with a roaring open-fire, and really nice place to sit and chat - just a lovely place to be in. My room was booked at the last minute, for a business trip, but even though it was a small single - it was really nice, clean and tidy, with a nice bathroom, and lovely courtyard. There's even an outdoor swimming pool, which was lovely and clean, (but freezing cold in a blustery December evening!) The breakfast was also amazing - so friendly, the hotel manager basically cooks the guests the breakfast they want, and makes everyone so super-welcome. I felt like I was saying goodbye to a friend, rather than just leaving a hotel, when it was time to leave. To cap it all, because I stayed on 6th December, the manager gave all his guests at checkout a little gift - a pair of chocolate statuettes - really nice. I gave one to my wife and one to my daughter when I got home, and they both wished the manager and staff at Koffiebranderij a Merry Christmas back!! If you want to stay in Puurs - DEFINITELY pick this hotel - what a lovely place. And a personal THANK YOU from me to the manager. Not only did he make me feel super welcome, but he also sorted me out with a taxi to get to my meeting, because there were no taxis to be found in Puurs that night !!
