We had a fantastic stay in this beautiful hotel, with great rooms, kind and gentle service, and excellent meals! Perfect location in the center of the town, close to all the main attractions and we could leave our bikes in the cellar. 

A great stay at this hotel!

Resto located in a beautiful and stylish renovated historical house. The dining room is classy and has a limited number of tables and guarantees quiet dinner time. Delicious choices on the menu, our compliments to the chef. Attentive host taking care of smooth ordering and service.

Almost private dining it was

Located on the edge of the market, you can get a wonderful view of the renovated square from some rooms, including the magnificent town hall and fountain. To the left of the building are the church of St. Walburga with its two interlocking building styles. The hotel has only a few rooms and is operated mainly in the morning. Otherwise, you have to contact a service in the nearby area, which helps you. With the room key, you can also open the outside door. The rooms are all the same, the car boards, the bathroom near the window, the shower is very close to the room, the bathroom is very close to the bathroom, the bathroom is very close to the bathroom. There are many rooms with a small bathroom, but the bathroom in a small bathroom. There are many rooms that lead to the hotel, but there is not enough room for you to go back to the hotel.

It's good for the eyes, sometimes not good for the ears.

I stayed for one night only,  and very much surprised.
This is a small boutique hotel, located in the center, with a lot of restaurants around.
Rooms are very big and spacious, nicely decorated and comfortable. The staff is great.
Breakfast was fresh and good.
Two defaults- no air conditioning and thin walls.
For me it was a pleasure 

Surprisingly good 

Room were clean with good WIFI and walking distance to the supermarket. Breakfast was great as well. There are numerous restaurants, bars, and a supermarket nearby. For the rooms facing the road, it might be slightly noisy in the morning due to the construction at the main market square nearby.

Wonderful stay

It's a lovely hotel we've been to a few years ago, and frankly I recommend it even though we weren't told it was in the works this time.

Little we relax

The hotel was undergoing refurbishment work and the whole of the front facade is covered in scaffolding. Needless to say, we were initially a bit put off when we arrived. We had to climb a set of fairly steep, haphazard, temporary stairs to get to the front door. I only had a rucksack, so it was fine, but I could imagine anyone with larger suitcases would struggle. 

Once inside, the rooms were incredible! Huge, ballroom sized bedrooms with a free standing bathtub in the middle. It was a shame we were only staying 1 night, as I didn't have enough time to take advantage of the tub. Lovely Rituals shower gels and shampoos, slippers and bathrobes all contributed to the grandeur of the place.
One minor point which didn't affect me as I was staying in the room alone: beware, the toilet and shower are all open plan, so if you're sharing the room with someone else, you'd better be well aquainted! Or at least be prepared to become well aquainted :-)
Unfortunately a major negative point was the noise level between rooms: I was woken up at 5am by the flushing of my neighbour's toilet and then couldn't get back to sleep. I could hear a lot going on next door, so it's a shame that the walls are so thin. It spoilt an otherwise comfy sleep.

Breakfast was delicious - a generous spread of hams, cheeses, pastries, breads, fruit, yoghurt and jam. And the owner also offers freshly made eggs. It was a shame I couldn't eat more.

I'd like to return once they've finished the building works. It was a little unnerving coming back into the room after breakfast and seeing a builder right next to my window...

Beautiful hotel but beware the thin walls

Nice little hotel on the main square of Oudenaarde. the most interesting thing is a mega bathtub, near the window.

The hotel is having extensive building work done on it. We booked and they did not tell us this was happening and I think they should have as it it is unpleasant to stay there while this is happening with building work starting in the early morning and general dustiness outside. 
At the moment it's more like staying in a youth hostel. After complaining, we were given a discount. The one bright spot is the woman who does the breakfast who is a delight.

Check if the building work is finished.

The hotel is a spacious old building that has been well adapted to B&B.  I had a large room with a view of the church (it can be seen whether you're in bed or in the bath)
owner is friendly and serves breakfast.
There's free public parking about 200m away but you can pull up outside to unload without a problem.
Like an increasing number of Belgian establishments the toilet is open plan so if you're there with anyone other than a very close partner, beware.
