We stayed here for one night in August. We booked at the very last minute, several hours later the host welcomed us into his house, a beautiful sprawling villa at the edge of Gent. Surrounded by a lovely garden, the house is beautiful and so is the suite, which can be rented by 2 to 4 people, meaning that the larger group rents the second bedroom as well. There is an indoor pool, sauna and steam room, which can be used after paying an extra 20€. Reason for this is that the pool is also used by son of the owner, who is a personal trainer and has primary use of the pool.
The owner was so kind to take us into Gent to the restaurant we had booked before ( he will book a nice restaurant for you if you like). The way back we took a taxi (14€). The B&B also has two bikes available by the way.
Breakfast is lovely and more then well taken care of.
Mind you, if it is only the one or just the two of you, it feels as if you are a houseguest, which has a different feel for different people. I enjoyed the feeling and felt at home, but don't know if it works for everyone.

For me, the only thing that could have been improved on was the pillow, which is only the one pillow and not the very best (mind you, some people can sleep on anything, unfortunately I can't). But again, that is the only thing one can comment on.
Another tip: book through their own website, it is cheaper.


Lovely B&B, wonderful breakfast

A cottage with a straw roof submerged in nature a few kilometres from the centre of Ghent: welcomes a lovely and very kind Patrick who -poliglotta- (able to speak, in addition to Flemish and French, English and even some Italian words) moves us to the suite we booked; a staircase in wood, material dominant in the rest of the structure, leads us to a living room with TV that separates two cozy bedrooms equipped with a spacious cupboard, contain cabinets and slippers) and a double bed and with windows with a view of an enchanting view.

A fairy tale location

Really good!!! everything perfect and a wonderful Host. Great swimming pool and a
lovely breakfast. Our Grandchild of 2 1/2 years had a wonderful swim. Rooms were
very peaceful. And the garden was very scenic.

Nice surprise

The house is a traditional house that has been fantastically well renovated.
The owner is nice and will take care of his guests better than in the best palace!
Breakfast was full continental and if you want more just asked. 
The drive is Just 10' away from Ghent City center so it is very convenient whilst away from the crowded touristic city.
We highly recommend this place as an alternative to a luxury hotel. 
You have to pay a small extra for the swimming pool but you will be swimming in one of the most beautiful indoor swimming pool in full privacy! 

Better than a hotel!

This is a very high-quality guest room. The interior decor is refined, furnished with a lot of good taste, everything is in harmony. This house has only two guest rooms, either rented together as a suite with a nice common living room corner or rented separately. In any case, your privacy is guaranteed. The bed is of a high-end comfort, the rooms are beautiful and pleasant even in warm weather. As for the bathroom, it is large with a splendid Italian shower. We have two separate guest rooms, either rented together with a nice common living room corner or rented separately. It's not all very pleasant.... A small price is a nice place to have lunch or a large glass box with relaxing windows like a large park entrance. There is also a lovely dining room, a superb bathroom, a luxurious dining room or a spacious restaurant.

That's perfect.

I was on a business trip and I'm sorry!!! here we come to rest and take our time and not arrive late to go back tot! great welcome anyway. a little expensive for service anyway.
