Very beautiful and newly renovated apartments in a historic building ensemble. In a green indoor garden there are comfortable seating facilities. Cozy breakfast room with delicious buffet and freshly prepared caesarean section! Right next door is a cozy heuriger, a small wine shop connected to the hotel.

Very nice family apartment hotel in a historic neighborhood.

I could almost grow up in room 8, it could be home, because it doesn't feel like a hotel room at all. But of course everything is there that the hotel guest needs.

Hotel Schneider Gössl

It's a dreadful neighborhood. It's a nightmare. It's a ghetto. It's a distant outskirts of Vienna. It's a small mansion. It's got mini-apartments. It's a separate room. It's all overgrown in the room and it's disgusting. I'm not surprised if there are bugs.

It's awful, it's scratchy, it's dirty

We hired an apartment from the Hotel Schneider-Gössl Hotel a short way down the road at 14 Firmiangasse. The apartment was well appointed and somewhat quirky. It was serviced and this was done daily and efficiently. The supermarket (a Co-op) was a five minute walk away as was an excellent bakery. The Ober St. Viet U-Bahn (U4) was a ten minute walk in the other direction and this route takes you direct into Karlsplatz and the centre of tourist Vienna. Be aware that the community of St. Viet is mainly German speaking with little English great for us but not for everybody. Oh Schonbrunn palace is only six minutes on the U4!

A Good Base to visit Vienna

In the district of Hietzing, the central location of the subway, but also on foot to Schönbrunn, there is no problem. There are hotel rooms in the main building with a great heurish and great Viennese cuisine, or a few houses down the street there are apartments. My apartment (108) in the EC with its own terrace and kitchen line was top. The water bed is very pleasant. The breakfast was very good and varied and it was always filled. Parking is not a problem on the street. A great stay.....

Hotel/apartments with flair

Typical Austrian "pension". Truly quite oldish but very clean. The district, the best residential district in Vienna, is nice, pretty and quiet. Those are the pluses.
Minuses now, unfortunatly quite a few.
Terrible WiFi: only worked properly in the breakfast room, not at all in our room.
At breakfast, seemingly good expresso machine coming with the most horrible coffee I had in all of Europe.
A few smiles to the clients would be a good idea.

Quiet but a lot of flaws

In the Schneider-Gössl we took an apartment and were immediately very impressed with the size of the old wine house and the furnishings. With one small limitation: the bathroom and the toilet are less suitable for older people or people with disabilities. The apartment is very tasty with accessories such as a tile oven, a large kitchen and double garden wooden windows. The housekeeping does its job meticulously. Impatient beds are available. Parking lots are usually perfectly accessible directly to the front door and the railway is almost 7 minutes walk away.

I did a lot of research until I found this place. I can only say something positive: delicious and perfectly cooked food, always nice waiter, great ambience and there's something going on regularly (musical evenings, for example)!!! Recommendation... definitely!!

Excellent.

Located far from the center of town, in a beautiful quiet, green picturesque neighborhood of Vienna, the Schneider-Gössl is more of a guest house than a hotel, but therein lies its charm! Rooms have a traditional feel about them, no frills, but clean with lots of natural light. I stayed in an "apartment" room 300m from the reception, and found it easily cordially guided by Helga the wonderful receptionist (may be difficult tugging luggage along, but easily doable). Helga is also responsible for the stellar breakfast - again no frills, but very fresh produce, from the bread to the garden grown organic vegetables to the fresh seasonal fruit, to the cheese platters, desserts, etc. To sum up, at first I was upset that I wasn't put in a "real" hotel, but then realized that I was lucky to experience this true Austrian guest house, so different from the other "faceless" high end hotels. Restaurant was also lots of fun with live music, and quite decent 

Very quaint, homely, Austrian. Delightful Breakfast, friendly reception

Rooms are quite spacious, comfortably furnished. The hotel doesn't have its own car park, you need to find a place in the street. Continental breakfast is served from 6:30 so one can start their day early and manage to visit as many Viennese sites as possible. Attention, eggs are raw and you need to boil them in a machine and not to crack them raw as we did 😀
