Palace Hostel Schlossherberge

I transferred to Palace Hostel after a crowded stay in an 8-bed room right in the city center. Palace Hostel was a breath of fresh air. As a solo traveler, one does miss the interaction with other solo travelers, but for a retreat this was perfect. Public transit couldn’t be easier - the bus stops right in front of the property entrance (google maps doesn’t show this!) and the rooms were cool and clean. Little things like hangers, a chair and desk, and a lamp by the bed made this stay feel extra luxurious. “Kitchen” is just a microwave, sink, and fridge for quick meals like cereal or soup. My peaceful walk down to the train through a vineyard (before I knew the bus was right outside) put me in a great mood. I highly recommend this hostel if you need a quieter night or two close to an Austrian town.
