I made a reservation there last year, with plenty o time in advance, and the only way I could do it was to pay in advance. But I had a question, if my two SMALL children had to pay if they stayed in the same room, and I didn't need extra beds. The host said I should pay 32 EUR, and couldn't tell me what for... given that the room price was high enough already. Eventually, he said it was for the kids breakfast. When I asked if he would give me my money back if I cancelled that day he said yes, but it would probably be a month or so. I agreed, and canceled. NEVER GOT THE MONEY BACK. Even sent them an e-mail which never got answered. I got same price room, in approximately the same are, but Italy. They were very nice and didn't charge for kids stay, or for their breakfast (by the way, they ate a croissant and had a glass of orange juice. Not 32 EUR worth!... cause we all know small children EAT A LOT! :P). SO I don't care how great the view is, but the human service is questionable (and I am not a fussy tourist!). Wouldn't reccommend it!

Worst customer service, never got money back for cancelled stay

If you were disappointed with the culinary performance and service of the menthofs a few years ago, you can now say that the quality of the menthofs has really improved! The food and the friendly service have been very convincing and you are now happy to visit the menthofs again and again in the summer! We have given the guesthouses another chance and have not been disappointed! From today's point of view you can fully recommend the menthofs!

It's going up again!!

We have stayed in this little gem of a place a few times. The staff are very friendly and Thomas who owns the place is simply great.
The rooms are very spacious and clean and the food is spectacular. We have never thought it was overpriced at all in face it's one of the better value for money places anywhere near.
Location is out of this world and the views/lake near by are breathtaking.

Love this place

If you're looking for a quiet out of the way place, this is it!!!!  The views are outstanding.  The hillside has lots of sheep and a wonderful hiking trail.  The food is absolutely wonderful.  The service is top notch.  We were only going to stay one night, but enjoyed it so much stayed a second.  It's a short drive to Seefeld, a wonderful little town with an incredible shrine/church with an amazing history of a miracle.

Best kept secret

The Menthof in Mösern, a few kilometers from Seefeld in Tyrol, is called Cafe Restaurant, but it has guest rooms and a holiday apartment, so it earned the name Gasthof. It is distinguished by its beautiful location with an excellent view of the valley and the city of Telf. The rooms are nice and somewhat simple, but are just as well maintained and clean as the sanitary facilities. From the rooms you can climb to a balcony that runs around the house. The must is relatively easy, but you have to consider the affordable room price.

A Praiseworthy Hostel With a Lovely View

We stayed one night after looking for a structure on an electronic panel at the beginning of the village and the judgement is neutral. The location is quite comfortable (it's not in the center, attached to the casino, but they still need a few minutes on foot). The thing that surprised us was that no document was asked, the entrance door was left open. I think if we split up the next day they wouldn't have been able to reignite us. The room was nice and with a nice view. The breakfast was very disappointing.

No infamy and no praise

In the evening we learned that we could have saved ourselves all of this because for children it was just noodles anyway. Our children wanted all the fish (there was no exceptional discount) to make the kitchen easier we asked in advance what menu was available in the evening and then shared our choice of kitchen by telephone.
