ATTENTION 2 addresses to Mondsee which can be confusing: Gasthof Drachenwand and the hotel on the heights in the middle of a golf course. View of Lake Mondsee. Very pleasant and green environment! Highway to Salzburg close enough, background noise but convenient to visit Salzburg has a day (untested bus solution to avoid 28€ parking in Salzburg, near Château Mirabelle: very clean room, well furnished with balcony. A mini refrigerator would be nice, plastic shower curtain unpleasant. Very friendly home with printed walking ideas for us (Fuschsee sympalacide.11: A really easy randout option) Lunch: Orange patch, not at the basic deck, not at the hotel.

A pleasant stage, some improvements

I was greeted by the daughter of the family who owns the property. She was so lovely and helpful! I was in need of a bike and she provided me with it and also told me about what to do and see around Mondsee. The room itself had a wonderful view of the golf course, it was clean and had all the things I needed.

Helpful staff

The hotel sits in a golf course and close to the lake (views). It sits on top of a hill almost so you can see the golf course, the lake and the beauty all around. Staff was very friendly and courteous. 
There is no elevator, not too many stairs to reach second floor. Views from rooms we stayed were beautiful! (We stayed twice coming back from bicycle trip). Spacious and comfortable room, though first time it was bigger.
We did not like the breakfast  nor dinner. Food at breakfast was poor as far as choice, fruit and vegetables were scarce and not fresh, bread was not fresh. Everything almost looked like leftovers or that it is scarce so as not to waste food. We didn't like it. In 10 days of biking, this was the only hotel that breakfast was not desirable.

Good stay

Beautiful big room with a wonderful view of the moon and lake. Bathroom is a little older, but ok. Bes. + we appreciated the good heating monitor in the bathroom and also the heating in the room, as we had bad weather and it had cold temperatures. Hotel is very quiet, the rooms are rather bright. Very good food. Large breakfast offer. Parking right in front of the house. Only the wlan was almost not usable in the room because the coverage was too weak. This can be annoying if you want to plan your next vacation trip or work something else in the evening. Friendly reception staff. Super 9L See golf course. You can stay at the hotel. Cheap price.

Nice location, good service, price/performance fits.

Super Sevice was already at the reception - suitcases were carried up in a large room with a great balcony and a great view of the moon sea. From here, much is possible, both on foot and by bicycle. Eating at the hotel can only be recommended. We were lucky enough to get to know the Persian cuisine, as the operator couple is from Persia but also prepared the usual meals very well. We always tasted it, which is certainly due to the extremely friendly nature of the couple, so we also felt very comfortable in the restaurant. Also, sitting on the terrace at a beer or an aperitif and enjoying the sunshine makes you very quickly forget about every holiday from the first day.

The Best Rest

We like to come here again and again, a very quiet place with a wonderful setting at the foot of the dragon wall, the gastronomy with the daily mushroom dishes that convinced not only the palate but also the eye.

Well-managed family hotel with good dining and a nice 9-hole golf course

We were greeted by the exceptionally warm boss in a very nice room with a wonderful view of the golf course, Dragon Wall and Schafberg, then at the best of times we ate a delicious fish plate and drank a cool beer in the restaurant...so we had arrived very quickly in a dream come true. There is a lot to explore nearby, especially by bicycle. And golf courses are definitely close enough! We would all go there immediately.

A Paradise for Golfers

A very friendly reception, I was escorted to the room, which is something I hardly ever get. A large bright room with a sofa, balcony overlooking the golf course and the moon lake. Clean sanitary areas. The food is clean and rich, a drink on the sun lounge offers a long view and entertainment while watching the golfers. Parking is free. Relatively sparse, but quite sufficient breakfast. Of course, first line is interesting for golfers, since the way to the landing is only a few meters.

Very quiet and relaxing.

We felt very comfortable in this dreamlike location. The golf course is in very good condition. Yes, the room and bathroom are not quite the same as we had imagined. Some rooms have already been renovated and are up to date. The rooms are very clean. The W-Lan had us hanging up a lot. But we still got our information. Unfortunately, we can't give the restaurant a good rating. It's the weak spot in this family business run so well. And the summary of our golf week. We are already planning our next trip to the Dragon Hotel.

It's just fine. Price and performance are right.

Sunny and quiet top location overlooking the golf course and the moon lake. Rooms not all top-modern (renovation well planned), but generous and cozy. Family friendly with many helpful tips. Beautiful 9-hole facility, special green-fee rates. We felt very comfortable.
