The beds were not made (allegedly because many people don't want to do this because of Corona) There was no breakfast offered (we overlooked this as the homepage of the tourist office described the room as still having breakfast) The soap donors were empty.

Extended weekend with friends

I get a very nice reception when I check in at the Villa Rückert and at the same time I can park my car on the hotel grounds for free. The beds were perfectly comfortable and the breakfast for this price (7.50 euros) too. The rooms are properly furnished and offer enough space.The villa is located in the student district and therefore there are enough places to eat and go...

Good, quiet location!

Quiet location, comfortable bed, adequate breakfast buffet, train station in 3 minutes, free parking on the property of the boarding house, no grocery store or restaurant nearby, unfortunately no air conditioning, no elevator. But I can recommend the house, even for more nights!

Breakfast retirement

the description on the hotel website was very accurate: this is a nice, cosy, clean, functional and quiet pension, where i woke up to birds singing outside. shower functioned well and had plenty of hot water. the staff were friendly and helpful. the breakfast was delicious and didn't run out of supplies. there are a couple of late-night dining options within walking distance. would go again, for sure, if in graz.

It's a perfectly renovated three-star boarding house, dominated by white, with poet Friedrich Rückert's verses to be translated and appreciated, rich, fresh and generous breakfast, walking everywhere, professional and courteous hospitality, very much appreciated.

A very clean place

So nostalgic -- if you long for the hotel experience of 1990's what-used-to-be-East-Germany.  And quite a shock to encounter in Austria, 2018.

Room outfittings the equivalent of those at an IBIS.  

Internet access that did not work at all, neither in my room nor in the lobby -- where I gave access yet another try, hoping that I had simply been too far from a weak router.  No.  Rubbish throughout.

Front-desk personnel that promised a takeaway breakfast package and then two days later left me a note reading, Sorry, no can do.  This in spite of having my contact details; they could have told me, I could have made other arrangements...  

And credit cards not accepted.

The setting, among industrialists' Wilhelmine villas on huge lots, now turned into offices and consulates, is charming.  The lodging is near the university.  But you will do better, if you want a 2018 experience, to go elsewhere -- my next stay in Graz will be, as noted above, at IBIS, half the cost and twice the service.

Bad communication, including non-functional WiFi

We booked a room here through an Internet portal. The lady at the entrance was very friendly, as well as the lady we met the next morning. Unfortunately, there was no elevator here and our room was on the third floor. The room itself was clean and sufficient for one night.

I'm going to tell you.

The hotel is located a few meters from the tram stop which makes it easy to get to the city centre. The car can be parked in the hotel's parking lot. The hotel rooms are clean, spacious, modern. Breakfast is rich. A comfortable two-day accommodation in Graz.

It's convenient.

We stayed in this hotel from 15 - 20 august 2017 in this hotel.
We parked the car at the free parking space at the hotel.
Luckely our room was available for us.
The staff received us very friendly!
The room was big. Enough space and clean.
The bathroom is also ok. Big enough for us. For American people i think it's too small ;).
If you want to pay this hotel you have to do it by cash. Creditcard or pin is not accepted.
The breakfast is great!! Really lovely! (See pictures).
The tram station is within 5 minutes walking from the hotel!
If you want to walk to the city it is ca. 30 minutes walking.
If you take a cab it will cost you around 7 euro (tip: take the EtaxiGraz. A tesla. Located at the busstation).

Conclusion: a great hotel for a nice stay. And the price is ok.

Lovely hotel

This boarding house is something special in its own way. It's run in a way that reminds you of the 1970s, although there's surprisingly a wireless connection. The rooms, at least the apartments at the back of the garden, are very pragmatic and simple. If you're looking for soft sleeping bags, you're right here. Please bring your own hairdresser. But the rooms serve their purpose! Please air 10 minutes twice a day. It says there. You like to do it because the view of the garden is something unique. The breakfast is excellent! Both the cake and the yogurt with jammer are exceptional! And please also after the traditional, hearty service, a traditional enjoyment, an academic treat. Just a few days back.
