We started her in September 14 for a week.  The pension is very comfortable with helpful welcoming owners.  My room was spacious, clean & modern.  The breakfast was excellent with a wide choice.  The location was very good for all local amenities & restaurants. All in all a good place to say.

Excellent Pension in Bad Gastien

I really enjoyed staying here.  I had passed it many times on previous visits to Bad Gastein and even from the outside it caught my eye and I wondered what it was like inside.  The 1st very impressive feature for a pension is that is has a lift! It also has a snug room with an honour system if you decide you would like to avail of one of their cold beers or a glass of wine.  Just write your room number and what you had on a piece of paper and they will add it to your bill.  

The room was a nice size with a traditional bench seat and table in one corner.  It is very close to the train station and bottom lift station, even closer to the local supermarket and across the road from the ice skating rink (weather permitting).  The best part of the room though for me was the shower.  For anyone who may have read some of my other reviews, I have a thing about having a nice shower, and this one was perfect.  Not too small, a proper door rather tha annoying curtain, and the water was always hot!  This makes for a very happy Lara.

The couple who run/own the pension were lovely too.  Very friendly and welcoming.  Yep, I would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for bed and breakfast only.
