Lovely location. Gardens are probably the highlight. Our summer getaway was really enjoyable. On the whole, it was a great value get away. Our small cottage was very cozy and bright.Glad we came. Maintenance is becoming an issue I suggest. Pavers not secure and hazard. Windows that don't open and have no screens. Bare minimum assortment of random cutlery and crockery. The games room and tennis court are borderline unusable...too much to maintain.Our cottage was the smallest, and cheapest, so maybe the other options were better kitted out. Thanks for having us.

Lovely property not too far off the Calder Freeway with several cottages. We stayed in the Teahouse Cottage- it was a cute little 2 bedroom with full kitchenette and a fireplace. Being pet friendly, we were able to take our furbabies who also enjoyed the little weekend getaway. The kids enjoyed the vast gardens and treehouse play area; and that there was WiFi (an important staple these days!). We would certainly consider going again

The owner put the phone down on me when I chased refund of my deposit following the need to cancel due to a hospital appointment. Booking was made through third party and lucky it was as I have had to go through them for refund. Cancellation was well within terms and conditions policy timeframe and the accommodation was actually rebooked for our dates so owner was extremely rudely double dipping. Very poor show, disgusting and untrustworthy service.

The Estate itself was great, we unfortunately had the cottage that the floor plan didn’t allow us to sit in front of a fire on a rainy day. Photos were a bit misleading. Would go back if another cottage was available.

Stayed here for a best friend’s 30th birthday and had the best weekend ever! Hired 3 cottages and had more than enough space for the 20 of us. Cottages were beautifully decorated and the garden was stunning also!
We spent the weekend in the pool, sauna, games room (so many different games and activities in there) and making food in the Barn Cottage which was so cosy.
Had such a great weekend, definitely recommend!

Beautiful house!

Staying for a short getaway. Maps took us down backroads onto gravel roads. We arrived at this delightful property consisting of refurbished cottages for different sized groups. The grounds were beautiful, amenities available varied to keep kids of all ages entertained. We stayed in the Gardeners Cottage, a lovingly retored old building featuring much of the original constuction. It was perfect. Clean, homelike, comfortable. Our host, Andrew, couldn't do enough to be helpful, informative and welcoming. Most guests were going to the Elton John concert. So Andrew hired a bus - organised a gathering of guests for a pre concert drink in the gardens, drove us to the venue and picked us up afterwards. Incredible. A peaceful haven where you can do as much or litlle as you want. Do yourself a favour and give yourself a little holiday at Taradale Estate. Intend to go back for longer.

We drove down lovely country back roads,  got to dirt  roads,  which led us to this beautiful location.  The owner could not have been more helpful, allowing us to check in 2 hours early.  We are staying in the Gardeners Cottage, which is just delightful.  Most of the guests are here for the Elton John concert,  so the owner has organised a bus (and a pre concert champagne) to take us to, and pick us up from the concert at Hanging Rock. The gardens are beautiful,  amenities great.  So relaxed, peaceful. Worth a stay.

Starting for 2 nights over the Australia Day weekend

Taradale House Estate is absolutely beautiful. With 2 adventurous kids in tow, a labrador and a fidgety partner I could not have enjoyed myself more. Why? Because there is so much room and so much to do EVERYONE was happy! To cozy family dinners by the raging fire, to the enormous games room for the kids ( and adults I think) . I pottered in the gardens, really smelt the roses and basked in the sun sipping tea on the front veranda. The place was exceptionally clean. Fresh starched sheets, fluffy towels and a wonderful kitchen. The kids met other kids which was a double bonus and my partner and I were able to enjoy romantic nights under the stars. We all explored the amazing grounds and being a bit of a bird and flower lover, I was in heaven. There was a spa and sauna, pool, tennis courts, gym, playground the list goes on. I personally also loved the beautiful Italian oven in our cottage. We extended our stay and next time we plan to take a few families away with us. Might even sneak in my sisters 50th there. They had a small wedding that weekend and the catering and looked incredible. All in all our new favourite home away from home. However I do admit our home in the city is nowhere as magical. Alice truly did fall down a fantasy well. Amazing 10/10

Gardens where beautiful and house was very clean , with plenty of heating , maybe just warmer doonas and blankets on beds would be good in the winter..... didn’t like the lounge much either , looked a bit dirty , maybe a leather lounge would be more practical..... but overall was a beautiful place to stay and would definitely come back 😁

We came here in the middle of winter and could not have made a better choice. We were in the beautiful Teahouse Cottage that was well equipped with everything from ample firewood to potato peeler to hot water bottles. The staff were phenomenal - nothing was too much trouble for Carlie, who even helped me change a tyre in the rain. When we could drag ourselves away from playing uno in front of the fire there were swings, a treehouse, a rose garden, pizza oven, trampoline and games room and so many other activities for the kids to get involved with. We extended our stay we were having such a good time and will certainly return as soon as we can. Loved it!!
