We arrived here yesterday afternoon 9/11. We rang the number attached to the email as we had no idea how to get into our unit. The lady was pleasant enough and told us where to find the key. But she did not introduce herself and I still do not know her name. She remarked that maybe she should have contacted us about access but didn't seem to phased about it 
We eventually settled in. The room was comfortable enough though appears a little tired. 
We were sitting relaxing having a glass of wine when a car pulled up in front of our unit. A lady gets out and starts waving at us. I went out and she says she was the person I spoke to on the phone and gave me the garage door remote. Although she still didn't introduce herself I thought she may not have wanted to intrude. She asked if there was someone here doing some work when we arrived. I said no. She said if they bother us to give her a call. 
There is a moderate walk into town which is quite pleasant. Lots of bars and restaurants thriving. 
We returned and settled comfortably for the night. 
At 6.45am I heard someone out the front of our unit. By 7.00am sharp there was loud machinery ,talking ,banging etc constantly. It was very uncomfortable. 
I called the number from yesterday. Guess what No Answer!!! I left a message to ask if they could start a bit later tomorrow. Not really asking a lot I didn't think. Am still waiting for her to get back to me. 
We got out of here asap and went somewhere for breakfast and went for a long walk afterward. 
When we got back the driveway was blocked with wood chip and we have people right outside our front window using machinery and smoking and talking very loudly. We feel like fish in a fish tank. 
Would not recommend this place. We were not warned there was any construction going on
We are meant to be on holiday but feel we are living on a building site
Very very disappointed 😩


Living in construction zone

Great quiet location out of the busy part of town, but still within walking distance. 3 min walk to the beach and 15 min walk into town. Always clean and comfortable, with full kitchen and the usual supplies you need to look after yourself. We've stayed here many times, not luxury, but definitely comfortable and an easy stay. Owners always helpful if anything is not working in anyway.

Everything you need for a comfortable stay in Byron

These units are currently for sale so I assume the owner just does not care. Seriously if you're after a comfortable holiday - don't stay here. Hygiene is obviously not of a concern to the owner. 

* The door to the backyard is busted - you cannot get out there other than going through the bedroom which I can't do when my newborn is sleeping so I had to resort to sitting out the front in the sun. 

* The couch stinks id hate to think what has happened on it

* the sensor light to unit 2 keeps tripping all night and day long meaning our unit is like a disco at night with the light going on and off constantly. Even with the blinds closed it lights up ours. 

* The dishwasher was still full of dirty dishes when we arrived

* The kitchen bin was full of rubbish and the counter not cleaned upon arrival!

- BBQ disgusting and unusable unless u want to spend an hour cleaning it. 

* Random foods left in the apartment and fridge

* Shower dirty - soap was stuck all over the drain and the glass is so dirty 

* Toilet has brown crap all up the side of it

- Mould in bathroom on tiles and roof

We're not usually ones to complain but are completely disappointed in this accommodation given the amount of money we had to pay.

Do yourself a favour and book elsewhere - other review are correct its dirty!!

Let's start with the bad first: why is it so hard for Aussie to keep rental/hotel/apartment clean? Every time we have to clean the place, this time again ALL the cups/plates/glasses etc, even molded potatoes residue in the cooking pot, and the frying pan was really disgusting, brown water after cleaning before we could use any of them.
The good: close to town and the beach and yes WE LOVE BYRON but will not stay in this app again.

Why is a clean so hard in Aussie

The property has about 4 units/apartments. We stayed in a spacious and modern 2 bedroom apartment. There are two large sofas, an ensuite bathroom for each bedroom and a fully equipped kitchen. The beds are comfortable with linen and towels provided and a pleasant outdoor area and barbecue. I liked the fact that there are no high rise or even double storey buildings here. It is only about a 5 minute walk to Clarke's Beach and about 15 to 20 minutes to walk to the shops and restaurants. Value for money here is good. If you want to pay a lot more you will find something closer to town and more luxurious.
On the negative side, the TV wasn't working well and the free wifi was virtually non existent. Would we stay here again....yes.
