Wouldn’t recommend this place to any one all we got after raising issues about the accommodation was excuses why it’s dirty and appliances don’t work nothing was resolved we where just pushed aside hoping we would go away I’m sure mould on the pillow and bedding smelt stale and mouldy, washing machine and dryer broken tv remotes didn’t work ripped screens it wasn’t present for the price charged and no issues where resolved the owners just gave us excuses why the house was the way it was not happy

Horrible

We had stayed at this cottage, Badgers Wood 3-4 years ago.  It was lovely when we last stayed,clean, well maintained however this time, not so much.  I am not sure if there has been a change in management, but it really wasn't up to scratch.  On a positive, it is 10/10 for location.  The actual cottage itself is lovely.  We noticed this time that general maintenance is needed to be made on this property.  Also some cleanliness issues as well. There was no remote for the air con, a remote for the DVD player which we couldn't find.  The wi-fi was non existent. We were left to our own devices which we liked as we were there to get away from it all. Sadly. overall, I don't think we would come back again.

A bit disappointing

Set on a ridge overlooking rolling dairy hills and bush gardens about 5 mins drive from Malaney, this property (Possums tail) promised a lot and could have delivered much more except for many small details that were neglected and it’s run down state. The outlook was lovely and features were reasonable  but it looks tired and neglected. The rear deck looks like it’s a safety hazard with wobbly rails and patchy rotting deck pailings, not complimented by the decaying 2 old deck chairs for a house that sleeps 4. Furniture was ok but the kitchen was tiny and hard to use because about half the lights are blown. No light over the stove or range, dining room table light was broken which made it mandetory
Candle light dinner (except we wanted to play board games but couldn’t see) and the presence of a tacky red table lamp on the fridge made it clear the owners are aware but don’t want to fix it? No cereal bowls or dishwasher was also annoying for 2 teenage boys. The 2nd bedroom also has no door (screen?) and is right next door to the main which is obviously an issue unless you have really young kids. 
The pot belly stove was nice except no wood or hand axe supplied so when we finally humped our bag of purchased wood upstairs, we couldn’t cut any kindling and so had no fire....
Disappointing for $300 pn but has good potential if it was given some tlc and attention to detail. 

Four star price 3 star experience. 

The pictures provided were a very poor representation of the homes condition! The oven doesnt work, there was mold in the bathrooms, the fireplace was rusty and very unsafe to use with it coming undone from the ceiling, the tiles are coming up in places, the house smells very badly! Says it sleeps 8 people with two pull out couches but both those beds were unsleepable. The tea, coffee, milk and sugar provided were very old and out of date. The entire place needs upgrading for the price paid! Highly recommend looking at the other reviews on trip advisor and not rely on air bnb reviews!!!

Possums nest- just a pest

I read some reviews about the Badgers being a bit run down, the whipper-snipper and stuff. Yes, I can find faults in seconds if that is what you want. But hey, I had an awesome weekend, had cheese and wine, had an undisturbed weekend and a pretty good experience. We stayed next door previously which was at the time identical. Apparently it is now done up and ‘perfect’ but this place is rather quirky and homely with its imperfections. Just enjoy it

You can make the most of it should you wish to do so

We (5 adults) stayed in Wattle Lane (3 bedroom cottage) for a couple of nights over Xmas. Whilst the cottage had plenty of room and the potential to be a lovely place to stay there are too many things to fault. This cottage is advertised as having a garden view. If you regard overgrown bushes right up to the balcony as a garden view yes it has.. Did not see a tennis court or a bbq in the grounds. As we did not see the owners at all (were meant to call in once we had settled) could not ask about these listings. Had to ring about WiFi not working - but only got message bank. It was working by evening but not a strong reception. There were plenty of cleaning supplies and cooking equipment so had no trouble preparing Xmas dinner. On entering the house you have a musty smell. The house itself needs major repairs - squeaky doors, sagging bed, lose screen doors, curtains off hooks, mold in bathrooms, dust on window ledges, etc. The deck hadn't had a clean in a long time. Spider webs plus the spiders on the chairs. Needs a good paint and repair job done. For the price - $450 a night it was way overpriced. Looking around I think we could have got better value elsewhere.. 

Xmas break

We stayed in one of the homes for our friends wedding in October. We were all really disappointed with the house considering it was $900 for the 2 nights. The bbq was absolutely disgusting and covered in mould, kitchen appliances and pots were filthy and unusable and we were meant to have a basket of food and wine on arrival but it was missing. The fan in the main bedroom smelt like smoke when it was turned on and we also lost power twice over the weekend and had to switch it back on at the electrical box. We tried to contact the accommodation manager about these issues but got no response. I would not recommend staying here at all, it detracted from our weekend unfortunately.
