Wow what a gem. The arrival welcome was in itself worth the stay. From the moment we set foot in the house we were immediately made to feel at home by Merna. 

We had a lovely king size bedroom with ensuite shower room. There was a door leading on to the veranda that goes around the ground floor of the property (There are only three rooms). 

As this is a home you are invited to use the house lounge, shared with other guests, and make use of the complementary tea and coffee facilities as well as some lovely biscuits, including chocolate ones. 

The only downside is that we only booked one night. What a mistake to make. 

Breakfast the following morning was in the lounge giving you the opportunity to share your travel experiences with the other guests. There is a selection of fruit, cereal and toast, juices, tea and coffee. 

At this stage mine host, Jim, joins us in the breakfast room to extol his knowledge and experience of the local area and the Great Ocean Road in particular, all customised to the individual guests, relevant to the direction in which you are set to travel. In our case to the waterfalls in Great Otway National Park, and later to find the best location to spot cuddly koalas. 🐨 (look only - don't touch). True to his word, they were there and waiting. 

Highly recommended- we would love to go back, and if we do this will be the place we stay.

Stunning location, comfortable rooms and very friendly hosts

Just increadible, how Merna welcomed us. The room, the terrasse and everything - just great. To mention is Jim, who prepared every minute of sightseeing for us. Many thanks to the hosts and keep well, Elisabeth and Verena, Switzerland 

Two nights in heaven

We stayed here 1 night on a 5 day trip around the Great Ocean road, and we loved it. the couple running the place couldn't have been more helpful and accomodating, they gave us great tips on our further travels on the road. and even had plenty of brochures and maps to hand out. Breakfast was perfect and there was a wonderfull eating area. The rooms were nice, had a good pressure shower. and a nice view. even though the 3 rooms are next to each other, we felt like it was private and didn't hear anyone else (even though we think there were 2 other couples staying). 

Highly recommend this great little B&B. 100% positive review as there is nothing else to say.

Fantastic Little stopover

This B and B is very comfortable. All three bedrooms have a private entrance. The bunk bed is very comfortable. The owners are discreet but available when needed.

Comfort, cleanliness, and kindness

There were 4 of us staying. We were lucky that the third room was vacant as we had the lounge/ breakfast room to ourselves. The rooms were lovely and clean. The bed was comfortable. We had a lovely verandah to sit on and enjoy a cool breeze on the warm day. We were lucky enough to get the proper king size bed rather than two singles put together so if this is important make sure you ask about it. We were a little dismayed when the male owner kept popping in to the lounge room during the evening to tell us some unimportant issue rather disconcerting.  The self serve breakfast provisions were generous but  would have been improved by the addition of something homemade rather than all store bought. Quite a nice place to stay

Roomy welcoming and fresh

We stayed in Apollo Bay for 2 nights and found this B&B to be wonderfully convenient and comfortable. This is a purpose built B& B with 3 rooms which are large, clean and very comfortable. There is a great verandah leading off the rooms, ample parking and it is close to the town. The bathrooms are small but adequate.
Jim & Merna are extremely helpful and gave great advise on where to get the best views, restaurants, directions etc. Jim also told us where to get up close to koalas feeding - we had a great viewing! They provide breakfast and have a very good  communal area. 
This B&B is only open at certain times of the year, but we would definitely return if it was available.
We were also happy with our decision to stay in Apollo Bay rather than Lorne, as we travelled to the 12 Apostles, Port Campbell etc and it was less distance to do that day and gave us time to visit the koalas.

Fabulous B&B in Apollo Bay

We spent one night in this B&B on Great Ocean Road. The owners are very friendly and show all sorts of excursions. Very nice. The room is beautifully bright and clean. The breakfast is made of toast and jam and some cereal. We've had enough.
