This small but tall hotel is around the corner from a beautiful, trendy main drag and is surrounded by restaurants (great Palestinian one if you go to the main road and turn right). The concierge is super friendly. There's an elevator but only fits one person with a bag at a time. I was pleased with the bed, bathroom, AC and little deck and windows. I felt very safe (heck, you will feel safe in Algiers in general, they mostly hate Islamists as much as Westerners do). Here's the part that I will never forget. I got salmonella from a bad fish soup and my guide actually brought a doctor up to make a house call in my room. He did a full checkup and gave me meds and I was better in hours, able to get home. I will never forget the kindness of the Algerian people.

You feel at home from the moment you step in.

Really nice  and welcoming staff, clean rooms, endless choices in breakfast and great location in downtown.

Also they help in arranging taxis for your transportations

Not easy to find a hotel so well located and at a reasonable price, but just off the main street to make it a quieter venue. Friendly, helpful  staff and comfortable rooms. Good option for a couple of nights in the city. 

A rare bird in Algiers

As others have stated, hotel is small and very central. Reception staff are friendly and helpful, rooms and bathrooms very clean and adequately equipped. Most, but not all, clients are European and women travelling alone are safe here. Wifi is unreliable and I found it was most reliable in reception area. Breakfast was not impressive. Algiers is full of excellent patisseries selling wonderful bread and croissants( including one - Genevoise - just across the road) but the hotel offered really dry baked goods.  Coffee was also dreadful, but you could buy a jar of good instant coffee locally and make your own cup with the hot water and hot milk supplied. I expect to return to Algiers and will  happily go back to this hotel (with a jar of nescafe!).

I come to Algeria every year "en voyage d'affaires", normally to Algers, Sétif and Tlemcen and I'm so happy I found this boutique hotel. Not only is it located in the very city center with lots of restaurants nearby, it is also spotlessly clean, it's safe and quiet at night and above all staff is one of the kindest I've ever met wordwide. I don't have enough words to express my gratitude to Amine and Samir for their kind assistance (it goes beyond the mere professional zeal). Besides wifi usually works quite well and there is also a business center at the lobby. 

Having stayed at luxury Algerian hotels this one is great value! For those (amazingly)  complaining about breakfast and price... Algerian standard of accommodation is a world apart, please don't compare it with European hotels. According to my knowledge of Algerian accommodations this hotel is a real gem. Don't look further.

I always come back!

I spent a night in the ST Hotel in Algiers. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and functional. Only issue I had was that I could not turn off the bathroom radiator, so the room was very hot. If I opened the window I got the noise from the street. So I did not sleep well. That apart I got what I paid for.

Well situated central hotel

From the moment we got there it was problem after problem...wro g rooms, the after moving being given a room where the shower didn't work and when finally repaired the water just leaked.. The TV didn't work..and the staff totally unprofessional and not helpful at all...it was very disappointing to see..we noticed with their foreign business guests their demeanour was the opposite to how we were treated..never again..
