I just love the Berkeley Hotel I stay here every time I visit BKK. I stayed here in Nov 24, June 25 and Jan 26 and each time the stays were amazing. I stayed 18 days this visit and wish I had stayed longer. I truly feel like the Berkeley is my second home. The staff especially housekeeping do such an amazing job. Location is absolutely fantastic. Close to the Airport line, MRT and BTS. Great for the lovers of shopping, which I am. Big C (my fav), CentralWorld, Pratunam Markets, Platinum mall, Palladium mall which the Berkeley has its own entry into. The great street food and small side alley restaurants. Hidden gems everywhere. The courtesy bus takes you to three (3) locations that are central to anywhere you need to go. Just understand where to want to go and save your legs by taking the courtesy bus to the closest MRT. MRT or BTS is such a great way to get around even Tuk Tuk as a novelty. Don't forget the canal boat is a fun way to get around too. When you walk from the stations you see more and find little gems, coffee shops, mum and dad run restaurants etc. Rooms are spacious and all have a great view. Dining room for breakfast, delish ! Western, Middle eastern, Chinese, Thai and Indian pallets are catered for. I had the Seafood "extravaganza" one Friday night, so good. Well done to all the staff for making the Berkeley a great place to stay. Side note: The only negative I have, and I really hate to say it but as its still going on, is that when you ask for a taxi, and you ask, "metered please", you don't get it, it's a set price the doorman come back with 200 or 300 baht to Chinatown or Chatuchak . I noticed that it's still happening. I wish this would stop. A metered taxi is much better not only cheaper, but you don't feel you have over paid and are more willing to give extra at the destination. I didn't use taxis this time, but I heard others asking while I was waiting for the courtesy bus. I had recently read an old review from 2014 so it's been happening for a long time. " A scheme between the doorman and taxis" I believe the reviewer stated.
