Excellent
This budget hotel has lots of good points and only a couple of minor negatives which is to be expected based on the price. I stayed for 7 nights on the 4th floor, street facing. I believe if you’re lucky they sometimes upgrade you to the newer May wing, but I guess it depends on how busy the hotel is. Plus points: - Good size room with a large comfortable bed. - Even being street facing it was very quiet at night as the hotel is on a “dead-end” Soi, so you don’t get any through traffic. The room has black out curtains if you want to sleep in. - Lots of storage, a desk and decent size fridge freezer. - Large balcony with a table and a couple of chairs. - Sony TV with a range of channels including one showing all the live premier league games. - Rainfall shower with strong water pressure, enclosed, so no flooding in the bathroom. - USB socket and multi pin plug socket which accepts UK plugs. - Thorough house keeping with 2 bottles of water replenished daily. - 2 small swimming pools (as you can use the May hotel too). - Soi 16 where the hotel is based, has lots of massage shops and laundry places and a couple of restaurants. Once on central road (Klang) you have even more available including 7-11’s too. - Only a 5-10 minute walk to Soi 7. If you use the cut through onto 2nd road then it’s only a 2 minute Baht bus ride to Soi 6. Minus points: Some of the items below are perhaps being picky considering the price you pay. - Some basic items are not catered for E.g. no iron / ironing board even on request. No soap, although a small bottle of bath gel is replenished. - Kettle, but no tea or coffee. - Staff are ok but perhaps not as friendly as other places I’ve stayed. - Bed linens and towels are a bit tired but clean. Overall: For me the key quality was that the hotel was quiet compared to other hotels I’ve stayed in central Pattaya and it allowed a good nights sleep. The hotel offers excellent value for money.
