Enjoyed a wonderful 3-night stay here!! Martin and Charles were perfect hosts!!!! The property is lovely; the room was comfortable and well appointed! Martin prepares the most delicious breakfasts! While the focus is on a vegan menu, there are always other options.... but the vegan options were delicious, coming from a non-vegan!!!! We loved the 'Honesty Bar', especially the array of local spirits!!! We would definitely stay with them again as well as recommend Roskill House to anyone!!!!

A perfect room in  a very nice cottage, with private parking. Everything is taken care off to perfection, and the hosts Martin and Charles are very friendly, caring and helpful in planning a tour around Skye. Breakfast is served at your table and everything is as fresh as can be, and well prepared. A cosy sitting room invites for meeting with other guests with a fine selection of Single Malts, very reasonably priced.  Dining requires + 15 min driving.

Great stay - and a great base for exploring the island. The owners have taken great care across every aspect of creating a welcoming and comfortable stay - and have great recommendations about what to do/see (and when). The baking is all done in house and makes the place smell amazing! The thoughtfully selected honesty bar is a great touch after long days out. Rescue hens roam around the nearby gardens (and lay your breakfast eggs)! Can’t believe they’ve only been open for two seasons - it feels so well established and smoothly run.

Roskill House is a lovely, first rate guesthouse on the Isle of Skye.  It was our favorite lodging of our two-week trip: we felt tucked in and taken care of.  Martin's breakfasts, included in the price, were delicious with hearty and lighter options. His homemade gingerbread and raspberry muffins were absolutely wonderful.  He and Charles gave us helpful suggestions for what to see and do on Skye, and their location is great for seeing the beautiful sights.  Our rooms (4 of us traveled) were wonderful: well appointed, stylish, and very comfortable. We also enjoyed having the local malt whiskey in the sitting room before or after dinner. When I left a book in my room after our stay, Martin e-mailed me and kindly sent the book ahead to our next location. This is the kind of above and beyond that Roskill House and its caretakers exhibit.  I recommend it most highly!

This is a top tier establishment on Skye. Our room was lovely - very comfortable bed, beautifully decorated, good bathroom - this was one of the nicest places we've stayed. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. This is on the quiet side of Skye but not a far drive from many sites, and on Skye beautiful drives are a key part of your trip. We would not hesitate to recommend staying here.

We spent 3 nights here. Ideal location to go to all main attractions. Our room (5) was spacious and at the ground floor level (very easy to get in with the suitcases). The breakfast (vegetarian, MANY fine GF options) was exceptional. Martin bakes every morning some delicious things; also home made marmalades and quality teas are available! Charles gave us good tips about where to go. A little mention, it might be difficult for a very heavy person to slip in the shower cabin. Everything is extremely clean and a hige range of whiskey are available at the “honnesty” bar….we warmly recommend this B&B

Great location and an excellent well decorated room and other facilities. They even have Poulsen lamps in the breakfast room ;-) 
Martin and Charles are such great hosts. What a great experience we had. They could even provide charging. That's is 5 stars plus.

This was our second visit to Skye, and we wanted a good base from which to explore  Duirinish, Waternish and down around Carbost. We struck gold with Roskhill House. A perfect central location, to be sure. Even if it hadn’t been, it would rate as the best B&B we stayed at during our two weeks in Scotland. Martin and Charles offer a modern yet cozy stay, a tad off the beaten path and better for it. Quiet and peaceful. Clean as a whistle. Super-comfy beds. That’s plural because while we’d booked well ahead, we had a weather-related change of plans and would be arriving on Skye a day early. I emailed Martin. Our room would be occupied that night but he offered up another, which we gladly took. Lucky. Breakfast was excellent, with good, strong coffee and a lot of great pastry as well. We left on our first morning to tour Dunvegan Castle and other things; when we returned near dinner time, our luggage was already upstairs in the other room. So many other plusses. Parking right out front. Fabulous Honesty Bar (12 different whiskies!) in a laid-back lounge. There’s a nice evening stroll to be had. Martin is an affable host; he knows the local area like the back of his hand and is a great resource. We spent three nights at Roskhill House, and it set a new standard for us. From now on, every place we stay, anywhere, will have to measure up. 

Really wonderful B&B with very welcoming and knowledge hosts.  The rooms were immaculately clean.   Breakfast was delicious, especially the vegetarian options.  We had a very early morning departure and Martin had breakfast ready for us in bags along with coffee prepared.  

Truly an excellent hidden gem. Owners spoil you like there is no tomorrow. Feel like one of the family and enjoy the comforts of a cozy home. Local intel on where and when to go so very useful. Definitely coming back….

Top-shelf B&B

This is one of the best B&Bs we have stayed in and we have used about 200 in UK over the years. Lovely place, but it is the new (9 weeks when we stayed) owners that made it so good. Very helpful and amazing food, including being sent off with cake every day. Yes, it is vegetarian, but I did not miss my bacon with all the other wonderful choices.

Awesome host, awesome room, awesome breakfast!

If you ever travel to Isle of Skye, this is the place where to sleep!

The room smells good, is comfy and is provided with snacks and drinks. 
The breakfast is delicious: a wide selection of sweet and sour in a beautiful buffet and one « main » to order - the best poached eggs I’ve ever eaten. Everything is veggie/vegan and very tasty. 

Martin is so nice! He suggested me a great running loop. 
For a few pounds, you can rent an e-bike. 
What else?

The place to stay in Isle of Skye!

Great place to stay after a long drive from Braemar, room 5 on the ground floor.
Very spacious with a super comfy bed, settee and a small fridge which held more than was needed.
Dale was a great host even providing a small container with milk so we could make up coffee to take out.
Breakfast was really good using some really fresh produce.
Definitely recommend to anyone visiting Skye.
