My daughter is getting married next year so we came to England to check out the venue and the hotel we would be staying at in Bath where the wedding will be held. We went back to London and the baker was sending samples of the cake to our hotel. She she sent several samples on Friday and we checked out on Sunday. The cakes were supposed to be there no later than 7:30 PM Sunday and check out is at 11 AM. The receptionist let us keep our luggage there all day and promised to call us as soon as the cakes arrived. They never did arrive until the next day and we were already on a plane back to Florida. The staff offered to send the cakes to us at no charge. I asked the staff if they would mind tasting the cakes for us because they would be no good by the time they made it across the pond to us. They graciously tasted the cakes and gave us their opinion. The writeup that they gave on the cakes was so detailed that they allowed us to choose which one we want otherwise we would have to have waited until the day of the wedding to taste a cake that we had no idea how it would taste. I’ve never met a staff so considerate and kind. The hotel is also very nice and clean!
