We stayed for one night with the kids at the Holiday Inn Taunton M5, Jct.25 and had a really lovely experience. The location is ideal right off the motorway but still quiet and easy to relax. Check-in was quick and friendly, and the staff made us feel very welcome, even after a long drive with little ones. We loved the Halloween hunt and the token that the girls could redeem something for themselves at the bar. Our family room was spotless, comfortable, and surprisingly spacious, with everything we needed for a short stay. The kids loved having their own beds and were thrilled to find the pool open we spent a good hour swimming before dinner and were allowed to stay until closing time and were not asked to leave earlier. We ate in the restaurant, and the food was much better than we expected for a motorway stopover. The children’s menu had great options, and the staff were patient and kind. A special mention to Abbs, the bartender, who was stand out, and went out of their way to make sure we were well looked after. Beer in a frosted glass! And had skills that bartenders that work in the best places in the world might overlook. Breakfast was fantastic quality and in tune with the rest of the hotels high standards. Staff were full of energy and enthusiasm that I just haven’t seen for so long in hospitality. I can’t say enough good things about this property.
