Back for our second year to Splendid Palace. This time because of lack of availability we couldn't book the Comfort Room with Lake view, so booked the Classic Room with Lake view. I mentioned this to the receptionist when we checked in, 'Personally i prefer the Classic room' she said ' the view is better'. Well the Comfort room view was good....but yes i have to agree with her, the angle is better and the balcony is bigger. All the staff are as lovely as ever, a few old faces and a few new faces. The food was excellent as was the wine! Limone seemed busier this year, as did the hotel. Back for a third year? Without hesitation Yes. Though sadly there are other places in the world to visit and i don't have unlimited funds, so we will see.
