Wrangham House Hotel

A beautiful house, with a spacious and comfortable room - with a massive bath! (We paid extra for the room with a bath and we’re not disappointed.) It was wonderfully peaceful and felt so relaxing. The bed was very soft but we nevertheless slept really well because of the lovely atmosphere,  quiet and airiness of the room. Friendly and professional staff. Nice breakfast - they accommodated me being veggie and asking for beans although it was not on the menu. Sadly brought fried rather than poached eggs, but we didn’t mention it at the time as staff had been so good to us already. Loved the coffee, Definitely recommend!

Liked: the character of the property and its garden, and its location.  The friendliness of the proprietors.  The cleanliness, and comfort, of the property and the room.

Stayed in room 1 , great room , good amenities.did not find the hotel cold in any way .breakfast was very nice with a good selection of different foods .
Evening meal was excellent, fresh fish cakes to die for .
Best nights sleep I have had in a long time / must say if you want an evening meal you need to let them know

Nice cosy accommodation. Friendly hosts. We stayed in room no.1. I believe it was a super king size bed which was super comfortable ! Huge walk in shower and full length bath. Tasty breakfast. The breakfast room was nicely decorated for Christmas. Can highly recommend and will definitely stay again.

Absolutely wonderful! I cannot fault the hotel, the staff, decor, character and effort made by everyone! I paid more than I usually would for a room overnight as a solo traveler, but I would pay it 10x over for the quality of experience. 

If you ever get the chance to stay, you won’t regret it. Nothing was too much trouble and the facilities are beautiful.

The owners are very friendly and helpful, and are also very nice people.Everything is spotless.  Beds are very comfortable and warm.Breakfast is really excellent.Restaurant meals are also really good.The area is really quiet and peaceful.Plenty of private car parking. Will definitely stay there again.

We booked last minute as we needed  a bit off an escape from the rat race.  Can only say this hidden Gem did not disappoint. Greeted by the proprietor Peter and from the start out sprit was lifted.  Room had a four poster bed, which we did not expect . A little stroll around the village and met some very friendly locals who made us feel very welcome.  Booked a table for the evening meal back at the hotel. Food was 5 star with the most charming waiter severice. The menu was small, but the choice was top notch. Peter is also the chef, and the food at dinner and breakfast was perfect. We are looking forward to our next visit, which hopefully won't be too far away.  Thank you to all for a wonderful weekend break. 

Well worth every penny and a very beautiful period building service and quality resteraunt its advisable to book resteraunt with stay as its very popular beautiful room and spotlessly clean and extremely polite staff we were visiting filey and my home town whitby perfect for access to all cant recomend enough 

I Arranged my Dads funeral reception at Wrangham House Hotel. I was glad I did. The buffet was freshly prepared, delicious and well presented. My partner thought the food was wonderful as did I. My extended family also were very pleased with their buffet. The room was warm, well laid out and just the right size for us to socialise. We stayed over for a couple of nights in the coach house again we were warm and comfortable. Had a full bathroom with shower our hosts Peter and Stacey were very obliging and Peter made everyone feel comfortable at a sad time. Thank you very much for your care and attention and for the lovely breakfast too.

Beautiful hotel beautiful food and professional service 

Our aim was to have a relaxing four day break and that it what we had.
The cleanliness, attention to detail, comfort, food, service and friendliness of the owners/hosts , Peter and Stacie, made our stay a memorable one.  The quiet village location makes it an ideal venue for visiting the East coast and the Yorkshire Wolds.
We will return......

Funeral reception and hotel stay

Had Easter lunch at this cheery country house hotel and the food was lovely,  crisp roasties,  fresh veg, large portions of meat.  Staff are friendly and attentive and the hotel  grounds are beautiful.  It felt like a special occasion having drinks beforehand in the bar and coffee afterwards in the lounge.  I felt like they valued all their guests and treated them as special.

Fantastic hotel, my wife and I spent a lovely weekend and we couldn’t fault a thing. Our room was warm and comfortable, large spotlessly clean on suite bathroom and toilet. The food was delicious, good sized portions at dinner and breakfast. Last but not least, the proprietors were so friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them, they made us feel really welcome.
Will definitely return at some point !
