The host Fatmah is amazing and incredibly helpful. She has contacts around the area and was able to recommend locations for us to visit and help sorting transport when required. The home cooked breakfast and dinners are all made using local organic ingredients and are very tasty and she made a point of letting us try local seasonal produce like freshly picked hazelnuts. One of us was ill and Fatmah gave advice on local health services and adjusted menus appropriately and was a very caring host. I would highly recommend a stay here, the rooms are on the small side but the host made it a wonderfully relaxing environment that felt very rustic and chilled.

    What was good

    I’m so happy I chose Fora Pension for my stay in Ayder. The rooms are clean and cozy, with a magnificent view from the window. Fatma is a wonderful host—warm, hospitable, and so kind. Those cozy evenings by the stove in the common room, when she treated me to hazelnuts from her garden and Turkish sweets, will stay in my heart forever. If I ever return to Ayder, I’ll stay here again without a doubt. ❤️
