Leelanau Sands Casino & Lodge

While the hotel doesnt really have any amenities,  it is clean, safe and the staff was very friendly.  The one amenity the do have is a shuttle to the casino. It would be a quick walk but its great to have this option in the winter.we will definitely  be back!

Our check in was so easy, 11/8/24 and our request for exra towels and pillows was already in the room. Our shuttle driver (George)? for the nite was the best we ever had. He was so pleasant and even offered to take us to the gas station to get snacks and beverages if needed. We have been coming here for years for annual trip, and this is the first time that any driver has ever offered to do this. Its the little things that makes it a great experience.

the lodge was great disapointed resturant was closed did'nt go inside casino the area is beautiful in the fall and we were very happy withthe wineirersI did'nt ask about resturarnt just assomed there would be a nice one with the casino it was my birthday and im 89 so i probalby won't be back but if I ever go anyplace again I'llknow to ask more questions

Great property to stay at. The only thing is the shower drain did not drain properly and while taking a shower the water was up to my ankles as I was washing my hair and body. Also a small  pub table would have been nice to sit at and eat in the room.

I am planning another trip to stay here again it was wonderful the staff was great

Clean, easy to check in, kind staff, shuttle takes from hotel to casino, great location.

Everything was great except no counter space in bathroom.

The outdoor patio area is a Gem, but Badly in need of Repair or Replacement. It's a Great gathering spot for the end of the day but it's downside is deck boards and railings that are warped, showing both splinters and exposed nails. There is seating for about 15-20 so it is large enough but in poor shape. It's also inexcusable in 2024, that every room doesn't have both a mini fridge and microwave. You have to upgrade to a Bayview room to get those......Really?  Don't get me wrong, we will return there again and again because between the Casino next door, shopping and dining options down the street in Suttons Bay and Leeland, there is a Huge draw.

We had a lovely stay at the Lodge at Leelanau Sands Casino. Located up the hill from the casino, the Lodge was perfectly situated for all of our adventures between Traverse City to Northport during our 3 day stay. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and well appointed with a mini fridge/microwave/coffee maker. 24 hr coffee/tea station off the lobby was a bonus. We had a second floor room with a balcony that looked east over the bay. It was a small-ish room and the building is older, but I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

Great Location for exploring Leelanau Peninsula

Chose mainly for location, right on the main road middle ground between Sutton's and Northport.  You can get most places in the area in 30 min or less even Sleeping Bear not much longer.  Room was on second story with little patio, not bay side so view was parking and trees but was nice to relax in the cooler evening air after 2 hot days.  Everything else was pretty basic, heard of upcoming renovation so I hope that updates things a bit.

Everything about this place was amazing!! Friendly staff, great distance to downtown Traverse City and an amazing location. The only issues I had were with the plumbing, the toilet wasn’t secured on the floor and kept rocking; and the bathtub stopper wasn’t working keeping the water from draining. The tub had a drip so I would come to the room after being out all day and see the bathtub half full from dripping and nowhere to go. It didn't take away from the overall experience and I would book here again.

Perfect place to stay if you want to be in the area for a few nights, especially silly during the busy summer season. There’s no minimum number of nights. Very friendly staff, good&hot coffee in the morning. And, a beautiful wooded deck and walkway through the woods to the Casino. Beautiful Bay view for coffee hour or cocktail hour.
