What was good

Staff was great: (I especially recommend "Angel" for his warm and gracious personality, but there were many others who also deserve commendations) helpful and courteous and they were there to deal with any problems that might arise. Roof top restaurant was also very good with shows and restaurant. Might expand the menu a bit. Rooms were very very nice and comfortable and the kitchen area is well stocked. General location of the hotel was convenient to the other amenities of the "Romantic Zone."

What was bad

The on-going construction was inconvenient, but we were warned about the issue. The problem will be the fact that the construction will be going on for years considering the scope of the proposed work. The climb up to the hotel from the beach would be OK for the younger set but for the older folks it was not something you looked forward to every day. When the current phse is completed I am told that there will be elevators that will take you from beach level all the way to the top and that will solve that problem. Also the new proposed pool will be much better than the existing one when that is completed. The rooms while very nice by themselves, are not well soundproofed from the rooms that are adjacent. Conversations and load TV noise could be easily heard through the walls. Recommend eliminating the connecting doors to help solve some of the noise problems.
