First, no one speaks English in the place, which is weird for a place primarily used by foreign tourists. It took tons of time for the receptionist to figure out our booking as they don't use computers for some reason. It's 2022, what are the problems with using a cheap laptop instead of pieces of paper? Then the guy appeared and said I am "the boss", screaming and yelling that we have to show are documents specifically to him for some reason. He was very rude and on the edge of getting violent. 
Despite that, the room was fully booked and no one was about to check in, they asked one guy out in the morning again in a very rude form. When he got back later to pick up his stuff that he left with another guy who was still staying at the hostel "the boss" chased him upstair screaming that he has to "get out now".
Needless to say that the place itself is awfully, old, dirty, etc. But the "service" is the most terrible thing there.

Terrible experience, even a cheap hostel shouldn't be like that.

We booked two nights with a group of 5 friends, arrived very early and could not check in early, the facilities were not good at all, so we had to wait in a sofa where we would sink and in the dining room chairs, in the middle of a pretty cold outside. The attention was very bad, they were laughing and having fun all the time at the reception. To be able to enter the room, the bathroom was dirty, the literal beds were a mattress and the pillow were the same. Its condition was not good and it was bad. For nothing recommended this hostel, the worst in which I have been. In the end, I decided to cancel my two nights, the money because they did not even offer a refund or discount, and go to a better one.

The worst hostel ever.

I advise you not to go there, the beds are full of chemicals, there are no keys to lock the room doors, the kitchen is not gas-powered but only an electric stove, so you have to line up to cook.

The worst place.

The place is super cheap and a 5-minute walk from downtown. A fantastic location, friendly staff, but with not indifferent weaknesses: cleanliness first and attention to safety second. Despite these unremarkable details, if you're a student with empty pockets, this is a place to consider.

He's content with it.

Got bitten in the beds, poo on the outside of the toilet bowl, no locks on the doors so anyone off the street could wander in. Was woken up at 1am by a man (who wasent staying in the hostel) offering us cocaine. Only good thing is that is was cheap which is not surprising.

DISGUSTING

The worst experience in Budapest. It ruined my whole trip. On the first morning I realized that I was sleeping with bed bugs, and my whole body was full of bites, and it did not disappear for a month. On the second night I woke up for a strange sound, and guess what, there was a rat or mouse or whatever in the room. For sure is was mumbler. When I asked for help the guy at the reception was nowhere and when he finally showed up he was laughing at me. The bathroom was full of puke almost all the time, it's a disgusting place with an awful management and service. I would not recommend this to my worst enemy. It was a nightmare.

NEVER EVER CHOOSE THIS HOSTEL

The hostel is very well located, that's the only positive sound. Indeed, the staff is very incompetent, it's extremely easy to enter the hostile room without even having a reserved room, there's no control or security for the customers. Lockers in the rooms without keys (where is their usefulness?), 2 people sleeping in a simple bed (a check in so leaving to be desired), the rooms are only superficially cleaned, not to mention the shower... We found that our things had been searched in our absence, the staff remained passive and offered no solution.

It's a good thing

Unfortunately we had to stay a few nights in this hostel which is nothing but deplorable. The staff is completely incompetent and indifferent. The rooms are dirty as well as the bathroom and the kitchen. People have searched our business and they have not proposed anything to solve the problem. It's just brown! I strongly advise against it! Run!

That's unfortunate.

When we arrived, we were given a 190cm high room where I could touch with my head, in the shower there were black patches on the floor. The smell of ammonia was ubiquitous, and various chemicals were detected between the sheets and the walls. After just one night, my two friends and I found ourselves full of puncture and rashes all over the body.

So apart from the fact that it's extremely dirty everywhere, but really everywhere, I didn't dare to go into the kitchen so much it was to vomit, the beds that were hyper hard and uncomfortable, the fact that there's absolutely no intimacy insofar as all the doors remain open and you don't have the right to close them, and yes even the toilets, and even the locker rooms that were in the room you have to pay to have their keys, the fact that my poor bug found herself with a body decorated with a reception desk because of bed bugs at the top of your beds, the fact that this part of the reception was insulting then as they had never been insulted by the police, but you never had the right to close them, and yes even the toilets, and even the locker rooms that were in the room you have to pay to have their keys, the fact that my poor bug found herself with a body decorated with a bite at the top of your reception desk, the fact that it was the top of your beds that you had never seen but the girls who had never done so much insulting
