Khiva

Great place to stay. Very welcoming family, great breakfast. We also had a lovely evening meal there. Easy 20 minutes walk or only 2000 som on the minibuses that pass every few minutes. Highly recommended. 

Wonderful 

The hostel experience in Uzbekistan! Very helpful and hospitable staff and excellent location. I really enjoyed morning breakfasts in their beautiful small garden in the yard. Very accommodating, peaceful and charming place. The hosts of Kalachan were extremely kind and helped me to stay and to drive from this charming place as well as other guests. It helped me to stay and to recover from this charming place every day.

Highly recommend this hostel

The guesthouse is closed (it seems to me due to renovations), they let me book by booking and they are not even able to send me an email asking me to cancel and search for another hostel. I just arrived in Khiva from Bukhara after an eight-hour journey and this is what I find. It is a pity that next door there was another hostel and now I am alli (Alibek).

It's a great place because it's a minute from the old town, in front of the walls. Nadir is an incredible host, hospitable and friendly. He does everything to make you feel good. Comfortable room, simple but functional sanitary facilities, a nice breakfast.

A guesthouse that I recommend!

Laliopa has a great location, very tasty breakfast and very helpful staff. Nadir gave us a really nice tip about a nearby ceramics factory and even helped us with the shipping of our ordered tiles.  He really went the extra mile. Thank you very much!

Great hostel very helpful staff

Excellently located in front of the Itchan Kala gate, the hostel is cosy, with two floors and nice common areas. Dorms are simple but comfortable; wifi is reliable and works throughout all the building; and the breakfast requires a special mention, the most complete we've ever got in a guest house. The staff is friendly and can help you with the registration as well as with any other tourist related question. Perfect stay!

Just perfect!

We stayed in this place for two nights. Okay, in Uzbekistan in general the level of the same is not very high, let's say that this is in the lowest average though. It's a very simple guest house. Just outside the city walls, in front of the western door. Really basic room with bathroom that you could access like inside a stargate! As if you were entering a closet :-) Living space of 2 square meters. Clean overall. Let's say that to compensate for everything, the staff takes care of us. Extremely kind and available to whom I sincerely hope that you can improve and be able to welcome so many travelers to discover this wonderful country!

On average... lower though...

The hosts were very responsive, even though we were visiting friends, they gave us a Wi-Fi password, offered us a drink and a bite to eat, we liked it, offered guides and translators at a reasonable price, and the guests of the hostel helped us choose the route.

I'm just finished trip to Uzbekistan. I choose this hotel because its location, very close to the main gate at the west of the Itchan-Gala.

The Staff was very good and helpful. They can arrange a day trip for fortress tour for you as well. The breakfast was fantastic also.

Recommend for every budget traveler!

Good Hotel in very good location.

In my opinion, it is better not to find a quarter of a century of Baku in Khiva. The wonderful location is outside the walls, but it is very (100 m) near the gate to the fortress. Here too, Khorezm dishes are cooked. Very tasty! The son of the owner Umarbek speaks excellent Russian and organizes all the events both in Khiva and throughout the country.
