Stayed here overnight whilst on my way round The Fife Coastal Path. Beautiful cottage, the bedroom looking over on to open fields. Intimate and informal atmosphere.Shirley was a fantastic host and the following day even dropped me off at my next destination. You’ll love staying here.

Lovely place to stay.

Shirley is welcoming and friendly. The house is lovely and clean, room small but cozy and spacious bathroom.  Peaceful setting and good breakfast.  Not located right in town but she is happy to pick you up and take you into the pretty town of Elie.

My favourite this trip

We stayed with Shirley just for one night, but could have stayed longer! Very warm welcome, Shirley picked us up in Elie. Small but cozy rooms, clean, spacious bathroom, excellent fresh cooked breakfast! Ww wiuld come back again! 

Nice stay

I don't normally do many reviews but i felt i needed to for this one, as we loved it.
We kind of fell in to Shirley's hands by fate, as we had booked somewhere else and they weren't ready for us, so we had to shop around, and we found our way here weary and tired. Shirley was great and made us feel at home almost at once, with her cheeky smile and pretend frown when i said we would like our breakfast at 07.15. She was charming and showed us around in a jiffy, and soon left us be in our twin bedroom, with our own wee bathroom next door. The house is clean, with nice warm rooms, and it is in a great location, with views over the rolling country. We woke up to see a beautiful little spotted roe deer walk past our window feet from us. Breakfast was a delight with Shirley, making the two us laugh from start to finish. My co worker friend and I like a wee blether and a laugh, so does Shirley. She is delightful, witty, and charming, and made us laugh out loud, as we both said she is the kind of person you would like to share a story with, over a beer and glass of wine. You never know Shirley, maybe one day? If ever I am back up this way this is definitely where I will stay, I can't speak highly enough of Shirley, except if your up this way and looking for somewhere to stay, then stay here. You absolutely just can't go wrong. Thanks a lot for the laugh and accommodation Shirley, from Jim, and Robin. xx

It was getting late and we were running out of time to get somewhere to stay, and then wallah, Heaven.

My Son and I stayed at the Old Orchard for 1 night on a short walking holiday. Shirley is a most charming and welcoming host with a lovely home. We had a twin room and adjacent bathroom which was perfectly comfortable and very clean. Breakfast and the accompanying conversation was a delight. We would definitely stay here again

Perfect overnight stop

Very good service from start to finish (brought back to Elie). wonderful location of the house and best care by our hostess. There is nothing lacking, we were provided with everything we needed. Very good breakfast with many options.

A Wonderful Stay in the Country

During our Fife Coastal Path hike in May 2015, we also visited here. Since this B&B is a bit far from our route, Shirley picked us up in her car and took us back to Elie the next day. Our room was excellent, Shirley's service and her kindness perfect, a total B&B that we can recommend without any restrictions at any time. The beautifully located property can be used by geocachers as a starting point for a beautiful tour, the culmination of which is visiting an old ruin about a mile away. Shirley, thank you;)
