I knew I was not going on a 5-star hotel…. But paying 1,000 euros / 2 nights I was expecting something ok.
I found a horrible bedroom, first floor right on the street, 2 very uncomfortable beds, with scratchy sheets.
No bathroom in the bedroom.
Toilets all the way at the end of the hallway.
No service.
Not a great neighbour hood.
Very very surprised indeed.
That is life I guess….

What a horrible surprise!

No communication from the ownership whatsoever about where/how to check in to our rooms
Water system is very dirty and loud
Not to mention the shady guests who were constantly banging on the wall and whose kids kept on crying for hours.
Oh, and the fire alarm went off at 3AM and nobody, except my roommate and I started to act on the situation. Itslike people don't even care here.This place is borderline comical.

Horrible choice

Basic and affordable accommodation in great location. Staff were helpful as i phoned them to clarify number of things as id arrive after hours. Got a code texted to me with instructions on where my room was. Got in no bother and found everything needed. Bedding and towels were left for me as you pay a small rental charge to get these. Hostel was clean and comfortable. I had Only one small problem with the wifi as i got the incorrect code sent but i found the correct one on a poster in the lobby by reception. 

Decent hostel, helpful staff

The second time I stayed here, this time my experience was not good, first, the check-in, I waited more than two hours at the reception to get a room number because Expedia's mail with my data hadn't arrived... (if I know that a guest will arrive I stay until he arrives and I don't stay waiting for him to communicate with me, which was what I did, to wait for a response after 2 hours) Second: a giant, giant, one I had never seen in my life, on the bed... Mrs. Emma is a love!

2da visit of terror

We always stay in this hostel when we visit Gothenburg. So cheap but GREAT value for money. Comfortable and quiet. Staff are lovely and the kitchen facilities are perfect. Thanks again to all the lovely staff. See you next year. 

Happy as usual!

The location is not bad, a few minutes' walk from the Haga neighborhood with several supermarkets around and the area to have a drink. We were 5 people and were given a room of 8 for us alone, quite wide and without windows. The bathrooms are shared but although the hostel was full we never crossed with anyone. Everything very clean, especially the bathrooms. Coffee and tea are free at the reception. On the upper floor there is a kitchen with a rather large dining room. If you need a dryer you can order it at the reception. A large bathroom is that there is never anyone at the reception, luckily the pillars stick to someone for 1 hour a day there.

A pleasant surprise.

I made a reservation through a very well-known and serious site, with an email confirmation. The establishment is allowed one hour after cancelling my reservation without waiting for two hours, as stated in the email. and without reason. I think the rate offered by the site should no longer be suitable so Linné Hostel cancelled my writing.

It's horrible.

Great communication, clear check-in instructions sent via SMS message and the staff is very friendly. There's a pretty neat kitchen, the room was pretty spacey for a single-person room, and the localization is pretty good. Overall, great value for money, highly recommended!

very nice!

The hostel is an affordable option if you are on a budget and staying a night or two in Göteborg. Situated near the Haga area this hostel is at a good location (the bus stop for the bus heading to the train station is literally located on the doorstep). The staff was nice and there is a shared kitchen. In general it was clean, but it is not a newly decorated or furnished hostel. The ventilation wasn't that great. It could be good to know that the staff is only there during limited hours (thus, no night staff).

Affordable and in a good location

The best part of the accommodation was the check-in and check-out, which resolved all our doubts about getting around the city, unfortunately the bathroom is shared and the rooms are very small, the mattresses are hard, the vacuum cleaner goes through very early, which doesn't make the stay very pleasant, and it's in a good location, which is actually a bit expensive for what it is.
