Very nice stay here. Welcoming host, clean rooms and nice facilities. Breakfast was excellent. Good location, although a steep winding access road, so a tuk tuk was used to get us from the main road (just part of the adventure!). Excellent views from lovely gardens.

Good spot at Haputale

A big house a little out of the way with a nice courtyard and flowers everywhere:) Professional welcome. Possibility to walk to the village by taking a shortcut. Compliant room, big beds and big bathroom. We asked for extra pleas because it was a little cool. It wasn't a problem. We had a rice and curry in the evening, it was good but a little lifted despite our unpiquant requests. A first in Sri Lanka. We had negotiated a 5 o'clock departure in tuktuk to go to the Lipton tea seat. Instead of breakfast, the lady prepared sandwiches to take with a little juice.

We enjoyed our stay in the guesthouse! The guesthouse is super friendly and helpful. It also likes to organize excursions and make lunch packages for this. The rooms are clean and the price-performance ratio is also correct.

Very nice guesthouse and clean room

We liked the environment even though it was difficult to access by car. The quiet and beautiful view of the mountain. The new and well-equipped room. The spacious shower room. The relaxing atmosphere. We didn't like the two small sheets and the two small blankets for a large bed: the conclusion was we were discovered part of the night and we had a very cold.

Charming guest house in a beautiful setting

Very clean and comfortable accommodation on the outskirts of Haputale. It takes about ten minutes on foot to the town centre where you can eat very good and cheap food and buy everything you need at the host's restaurant. Our room was very spacious, had a comfortable, large bed, a small balcony and a clean bathroom. The host was always approachable, never intrusive, and also allowed us to organize wonderful enterprises at fair prices in the short term. (among other things, he recommended us the highly recommended, quiet driver Raju.) We felt very comfortable at all times in Amarasing Guest House.

A highly recommended guest house with a great, friendly host!

The hotel is comfortable, the rooms are spacious and clean. The owner is really kind and available. After forgetting his cell phone at the hotel, he took care to have it returned to the next hotel without any additional cost for shipping to the courier.

Availability and cleanliness

The best guest house we ever had in Sri Lanka. The rooms are worthy of a good hotel. impeccable hygiene. perfect comfort. perfect shower. small de tres good for 2 euros. away from the center but a good shortcut to get there. I recommend.

Excellence

The old room, although we saw that there were other very nice rooms, but I suppose since we booked for a very good price they gave us the old one, the lady who regents is a good person but very, very uncommunicative, and there were few guests, and walking around the hotel at night felt a bit pathetic.

Good price, but little communication.

Fellow travellers if you are after a Haputale guesthouse with character, history and undeniable charm, I would recommend a couple of days at Amarasinghe guesthouse.
I loved the understated style, comfort and brightness of the new rooms. 
The centre is a 15 min walk away uphill going trough the neighbouring houses and giving way to a grander view of the Valley.
The 5:00 am ride to Lipton seat is a must! Unforgettable memory. After reaching the top i walked down to the tea factory and took a local bus to reach the centre - tuk Tuk ride straight back to the guesthouse is also an option. Being welcomed back by Mrs Pushba gentle smile and yummy breakfast completed this memorable experience perfectly well :-)
As for the meals, solely breakfast is served at the guesthouse, though the owners run a cute little cafe called ‘Lettuce and Cabbage’ in Haputale town, right next to the train station and which terrace overlooks the city. Lovely spot, warm service and good food is provided.
