I had already done the review but it was not published by Trip. Booked from 12 to 17 October 2017 the hotel was closed. By the way it is not 11 km from the airport but 86 km away. Arriving around 8 pm the reception was open but without staff. And there were local people taking away the refrigerators from the rooms.

A name, a very beautiful setting, four stars, passing by we let ourselves try for lunch, ten thousand the menu, we will see well. And we saw. It's been a long time since we had eaten so badly! It's not that the cook missed a dish, it's that with the quality of what he had to cook in addition to his incompetence they only end up in a cafeteria... and again! That's frying the scams. They should be banned from marking Restaurant...!

Very well located.

Nice, clean, friendly and safe hotel with excellent wi-fi at reception and bar. Great pools, good food and reasonably priced. Nice little village with arts and crafts for sale. Locals a bit too eager to sell.

Very nice hotel

The hotel is quite uncrowded these days due to the terrorist problem but the hotel would also need refreshment. I still enjoyed my visit, the restaurant is very good, it is clean, the service is fast and the staff very attentive. I will return to it precisely because it is not too crowded by Westerners and it becomes safer, there is a beautiful swimming pool, beautiful trees and flowers and the beach is very nice.

The teranga hotel and saly villa is a superb complex offering the tranquility and serenity of an individual villa where one enjoys the swimming pool and fine sand on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean. Offering a multitude of tours around. The return of the pirates and the fish market, visiting the nature reserve, visiting the pink lake. Sublime family vacation or imbuing oneself with African life. The essential corner of paradise or one's resource maximum. Do not hesitate to do it as a family without any fear. Senegal's hospitality is truly super

Stylish hotel and villas by the ocean

The staff is quite friendly, especially at the restaurant, as well as the maintenance staff. The park is very well maintained, the villas are spacious, comfortable and well decorated (a little old though). For this price, we still expect to have wifi in the villa! A phone to reach the reception would not be too much. The restaurant is disappointing: few choices and poor quality. During my stay, the hotel was infested with crickets that came to disrupt meals.

Arrived at reception to be received by a receptionist who had feet up on a chair could not be bothered to at least get up and attend to us speaking as if i was bothering her from her break or something was so put off got a taxi to another hotel did not bother checking the rooms but must recommend the security guard so helpful with taxi and location of alternative hotel.

You can view the many pictures of the pool on their website and on tripadvisor.  The pools (there are three of them) are great, especially if you have a toddler, the kiddie pool is huge and has a little waterfall, it is great.  There are two small sandy beach areas where you can find seashells right next to the hotel, not big enough to lounge on, but they are clean and the water is shallow for a ways out and makes for nice shell hunting.  As soon as you step foot off of hotel property you are "game" for the locals to sell you things.

The room was pretty nice, very roomy and the a/c worked well.  The wifi did not work in the rooms, and I believe the cable was about 6 channels, but we weren't there to use either of those, so not a big deal.  Lunch and dinner were very expensive at the on-site restaurant and not very good...many local restaurants had much better food for less.

Location...if I were to go back to Saly I would probably look for something further away from the local art market/village and discos, very loud and Noisy, and a large number of street vendors looking to sell you something.  I would also be more interested in a hotel that had a good restaurant, but does not charge so much to dine there, It would have been nice to relax at the hotel all day without having to go out all the time for lunch and dinner.

Not a Bad choice

I stayed at this hotel in 2003 and I'm glad to see that it's still at the top of the area even though at the time it was the best. The villas are spectacular and you feel like a queen sitting looking out at the scenery. The food was delicious and the breakfast very rich. The opinions are then, 2003...now I see that there is much more to offer.
