Front desk staff is absolutely lovely they speak great English are helpful and easy to talk to, very likable!! Even willing to check you in after the 23:00 that said on the website. The rooms are ok. i stayed just one night and it did the job hahahah

IMPORTANT! DO NOT STAY HERE! ATTEMPTED SCAM

I booked a one-night stay for a private room for four people for the night of Saturday, March 16th 2024. While staying at the hostel, a friend came to visit us. When so was leaving, the staff member at the front desk asked her who she was staying with, and when she said she was just visiting, the staff member made our friend come get the renters of the room and come downstairs. He immediately began to threaten us and told us we must all pay $50 euros in cash ($250 euro in total) as well as leave the hostel effective immediately. He told us if we did not he would “call the police and put us in jail”. When I began to question him, he told me to “sit down or I will owe him $750 dollars”. We told him it was fine with us if he called the police and they would sort it out. Hostel policy has no clear written rules about guests and when asked by the police as well as us to provide proof of the policy, the employee failed. We could not find anywhere online or on paper proof of this policy. We have the entire conversation with the police and your employee recorded with the employee speaking with the police about a made up policy. The police believe the same as us and told the employee he could not charge us without written policy. The police are filing a report about the incident. We have reason to believe the employee was attempting to scam us for cash. This is completely unacceptable behavior and the employee should be fired.
The hostel also refuses to answer any phone calls or emails regarding the issue.

This hostel is for you if you are planning to stay less than 1 week, the good thing is located at the city centrum, you can easily walk to all the main atractions, the bad thing is there's no elevator to the rooms even to the front desk so, if you're travelling with big suitcases you'll have a harsh time tryingto get into your room, the stairs are so small, and something to work on is the fact that they only accept cash

I'll give you two stars just because the location is ideal, near one of the busiest and most crowded areas of Amsterdam. The place, on the other hand, is really badly maintained. Our room was for 8 people, in a really small space. The dirty rugged sheets, the windows didn't close well, the bathroom almost fell apart. The staff were really nice, and you can use a microwave.

Not bad, but not very bad.

The service here is 24 hours and excellent. Efficient at all times of the day. The rooms are cosy and comfy and it’s in an excellent area. Easy to get everywhere you need to go in the city. Would definitely recommend!!

Great time !

I needed a last minute reservation because I felt so sick and could not go home. These people have been so nice and patient with me and my friends (who got sick aswell). It was late night already yet they have helped us out. Very nice staff. Thank you so much.

Nice staff

My father and I came to Amsterdam for 3 nights, and as soon as we entered we were greeted by a rather rude and unkind person, who refused to even call us a taxi to get back to the airport. The room is very bad, without any furnishings and comfort, inside we find only 2 very uncomfortable beds. The tiny and uncomfortable bathroom. The only positive note is the location of the hostel, quite central and 2 steps from all the attractions of Amsterdam. Ah, I forgot, right below the hotel there is a coffee shop, which is a positive note for many, but the smell has now stuck in the walls of the hotel giving it an unpleasant smell.

Hostel to forget!!

Walkable distance from the Rijksmuseum, got most of the way from Amsterdam Centraal by tram. Staff were friendly and helpful.Only stayed one night on Thursday in late July. No airconditioning but it was fine. Sheets were provided which was good. Shower and facilities worked fine although the dehumidifier was loud for a few minutes after anyone had switched the light on, so probably best to bring earplugs if you're sensitive to noise when you sleep.Some noise from the street but not overwhelming (again, Thursday in late July, and above a bar, so might be louder if you're visiting on a weekend given that it's above a street full of bars).Was travelling solo (am not a guy) but never felt unsafe.Cost 3 euros to leave my suitcase in the luggage area behind the reception for the day which I didn't know about before I got there.Stairs were incredibly steep and narrow, be careful if you have problems with your knees. Luckily the guy in reception helped me bring my suitcase down when I was leaving.

Decent location, nestled/shoved violently perfevtly inbetween two weed shops and reasonably central.
HOWEVER, room wish bad, toilet even worse, shower water everywhere , litterally everwhere in the bathroom. Very small aswell, #nobidet

Also no lockers, no air con, windows didnt work, uncomfortable beds, bad shower, tourist tax, confromtational staff, charged extra for paying by card.
Definatly would not come again, run for your lives, good luck out there troops

A disgrace

I advise you never to stay in this hostel. You can be sure it's the worst in Amsterdam. the rooms stink and there is not even a kitchen. they're just stinky rooms. I repeat the rooms stink a lot.  it should be forbidden to rent such bad accommodation
