This place was called 'daddy's home' when I stayed here a few months ago. Stayed for 3 nights, room was clean and AC worked well. Internet not great. You get what you pay for though.

Breakfast is toast, hard-boiled eggs and instant coffee. 

Definitely one of the weirdest places I have ever stayed...

Daddys Home, as the facade says now. Is a lovely cozy place. Nothing fancy! But it is Clean, decent prices, and the staff is very friendly, sweet and helpfull! Breakfast included from 7-11 am, its only like toast and eggs, but there is plenty off it. Showers are very nice and clean, same whit toilets, rooms, and everything. Fridge free to use and free cold water in it. And then the location is perfeckt in China town! 

We came at 1 am at night, and we had nice friendly service. He even showed us too our room.

I will come back!

Recently I've had tried/stayed almost all hostels in KL for last 6 months , accidently found daddy's home formally known as palmmers guest house . The 1st impression of this guest house is heritage . Rooms is OK from dorm to double room . Price is acceptable . Breakfast included . Location is splendid , easy access to anywhere . Near train station , beside Central market .Guest staying were great as know what to do n don't . Owner n staff helpful . To summarize , worth yr money n great experience . Will be back in 3 months time to check it out again @Daddy's Home

Guest house under New management and concept , don't miss it !

Its not my plan to stay here, but i'm quite late arrive on Kuala Lumpur and not lucky yet find hostel that i've planned to stay then find palmmers hostel.
It's perfect location on Petaling area or chinatown, near the MRT station and central market. As you may know chinatown is good location to find a street food, shopping and just enjoy the ambience. If you coming from Masjid Jamek MRT station, you just have to find HS Tun Lee street, go straight and you will find huge sign "Jalan Petaling or Petaling Street", after that you have to turn right and find CIMB Niaga bank on your right side, walk straight and you will find the hostel on your right side before central market.
The room is on 2nd floor, and its horrible room. A room without window and the wall is gypsum wall not a cement wall and the floor is from wood but its a cheap wood without underlayer. So, every people who walk outside your room you will hear it and its pretty disturb your sleep if you're forget bring earplug just like me.
The other problem was when a man staff using "female bathroom" and when he was coming out and i want using the bathroom it was so horrible!!!! Its so dirty and so full of disgusting things that i could not mention here, but i believe you know what it is!!
Private room without bathroom it cost us RM65 include breakfast for 2 person. When we arrive we tried asked dorm room but it was fully booked and for dorm is RM30/person.Breakfast are simple,toast bread with jam and tea or coffee. You have to wash you glass by yourself after you use it.
Wifi only can access on the dining area and near the bathrooms area too. 
I only like the location but if i have more time to find other hostel, i'm willing to find other hostel.

Good location but wouldn't stay again

First the indication from the booking site were wrong...After you cross the street from the LRT, via the market, turn right and walk __10 meters_ and enter by the back door (the reception is there). There is potential, it is well center for wverything, there is but work to do, even if the owner is 
good at giving information and direction. The rooms are small, 2 have window,and pricy for Malaysia, more than the touristic Langkawi Is; clean but we had bed bugs; the mattress has poking springs; there is hot shower, sometime not. There is wifi, but just in the kitchen. It could be the average in KL, but we don't know. You can judge by yourself...there is a lot of choice around, so you don't really need to reserved

No expectation

We arrived after midnight and there was a guard who opened the door for us and we were able to book 2 bedrooms for 2 adults, 3 children (5,7,10) and a baby 11 months old. The next day the friendly manager offered us the family room on the ground floor at a discounted price since we stayed there for a week. It is not luxury but very convenient and domestic, you feel comfortable quickly and the staff is very welcoming. We chose this guesthouse for its quality price and central location.

Room Large family

It's scandalous to find a so-called hotel like this on the web. Just because the hotel entrance is shocking, you have to see the garbage piles all around. Then you go up to your room, then you walk barefoot through a hallway with disgusting carpet and carpets. 3 common showers, one of which is in cold water. Arriving in a room without windows, with a bloody carpet, a smell of moss and locked up blood, a sheet on the bed with small pieces of furniture: it's the old customers' stuff, chips, bed bugs and pox (I didn't realize that later on, it was too late because I had to get back to LA, but I had to get back to the house with my clothes, but I didn't want to get back to my house, so I didn't even know if I was going to put these things in my living room, I didn't have to put these things in my living room, and I didn't even know if I was going to put my own clothes and my own house, but I didn't want to put these things in my living room

The worst nightmare you've ever had.

This guest house is superbly well located, 5 minutes from China Town. It is also easily accessible by public transport. The rooms are simple but comfortable. There is a lobby where you can chat with the other travelers. Breakfast is included. It is a serf breakfast served in the common room. The owners of a South African couple are very friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend this guest house. Attention to China Town, everything that is for sale or almost is fake. The shoes are in a very nice souvenir.
