Centrally located the hotel is a great base for visiting the highlights of Karakol including the restaurants, bars and hugely popular walking trails of the surrounding areas.

The accommodation itself is modern by western standards, our room was large enough to accommodate a king sized bed easily. The three piece shower room was very comfortable. There were no chairs in the room which was slightly disappointing considering that it was a double room - nor was there a fridge or ice available; all things that are easily addressed.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the hotel and would not hesitate to recommend it. Addressing a few minor points in my view will enhance the hotel's appeal and comfort for guests. I liked it.

Much More Than A Caravan

Stayed with G Adventures group tour. No wifi in room. Grocery and liquor store next door but no elevator. Breakfast is in basement so a lot of going up and down stairs. Quiet, nice big bathroom, pretty clean and new, not so good view, across from mosque so hear muezzin, breakfast ok, again nothing gluten free except yogurt and eggs.

Different sizes of rooms.
Stayed few nights with 3 teenagers.Toilets in the room.Maintenance of the toilets was not so good.Beds were big enough and comfortable.
Laundry-they charge by piece so we didnt use that .Breakfast was good in general,but no refill untill you ask,and one day there was no milk( supermarket is very close).
All in all-a good place to stay.

Good place to stay

It's located almost in the city centre, opposite the Dungan temple, nearby, whether it's a 24-hour-a-day, or a late-night supermarket with a good choice - in Karakol, where everything closes at 6 p.m., it's important. There's no elevator, so you have to carry this suitcase yourself, but the interior is new, irrational - white leather sofas in the foyer, nice to see. The rooms are good, spacious, also with a nice new refurbishment.

I visited Karakol for 5 weeks and initially stayed in another hotel within Sierra Coffee. This hotel was OK, but far from the centre, so I moved to Caravan Hotel which was very well located, on a newly developed central boulevard opposite the Mosque (the sidewalks are icey or dusty depending on the season and if not paved it can be difficult to walk about comfortably which is a reason why Caravan is very good). For the price paid, the room was of a high standard with towels and amenities replenished regularly. I was even on occasion given bowels of fruit and mineral water which was very sweet of them. The hotel as a whole is clean and for the price paid the includes breakfast was also suitable. I will return soon and thoroughly recommend this hotel to all prospective guests. 

Extremely well presented -  of a high standard. 

The rooms are spacious and clean, the breakfast is plenty, the price ratio is good, the things to improve are the sound insulation of the rooms and the wifi that is not stable.

Good address

We chose this hotel primarily for it's proximity to the main bus station where we planned to arrive late at night by bus from Bishkek. The hotel is a 15-20 minute walk from the bus station, and easy to locate.The night manager didn't speak much english, but the day staff were easier to communicate with.The rooms are spacious and the internet worked well. The only problem that we had was a lack of elevator, which would have made carrying the bags upstairs much easier. 

There is no air condition here, but some of the rooms have a fan which is more than adequate. It is hot in the day, but can get really cool at night, as Karakol is surrounded by mountains. Breakfast was included in the room rate, and is served on the ground floor. The reception area is actually on the 1st floor, and there are no guest rooms on the ground floor. The supermarket which is just outside the hotel entry doors was well stocked, and very convenient, as was open until quite late in the afternoon. There are quite a few F&B options nearby, a 24 hour pharmacy (Anteka) and it is a very safe area to explore. The tourist information center, central square and orthodox church are all within 10 minutes walk from the hotel.

If you sleep with the windows open, you may be disturbed early in the morning by the :call to prayer" from the two nearby mosques. We had our bags stored for free when we went hiking in the mountains overnight, and had an overall good experience at this hotel.

Comfortable and convenient hotel

Amazing stay. We checked out of our crappy hotel and wondered through town to find a better place to stay. Caravan did not disappoint! The rooms were perfect, delicious breakfast was included and we were treated like family. Excellent location. Highly recommend!

Perfect!

Very clean, spacious, excellent breakfast. Few blocks from town centre. The staff are super friendly and helpful (also speak good english). Cheaper then comparable options around town. Highly recommended. Held our bags whilst we went up in the mountains to hike 

Excellent All round 

Clean rooms and Linens. Rooms are spacious. Shower in the room. Very good value per price. In Kyrgyzstan standards it is magnificent. Receptionist is very pleasant. A bit off center, but still close to the city center and the tourist information center.
