The whole set up was just what I needed. The studio was really clean, and had all the appliances I could want for the week I was there. The team were also lovely and the setting was very quiet and relaxing.

So easy

We had an absolutely sensational stay here. My mother has had several surgeries on her shoulder and we found the bed far too firm on our first night. When we reported to the manager in the morning, a new and very soft mattress was brought within a few hours that was incredibly comfortable for the rest of our stay! The rooms are adorable with a kettle, stove and microwave and the staff are incredibly attentive and sweet and took really good care of us from finding lost items, bringing drinking water when we needed it and finding an UberEats that was a bit lost. The area is beautiful and very safe, it is right next to a security check-point and the UN! There is free wifi which we really appreciated though the codes can get a bit annoying to enter repeatedly in the computer. I had a previously terrible experience on a private taxi in Nairobi and was very nervous. Lake View Studios recommended a driver named Noah who was perfect, he was punctual, professional and made us feel very safe.  For the price and the place, Lake View is a gem and we will definitely be back!

Surprisingly wonderful guesthouse for the cheap cost!

Excellent studio appartments. Very  well equipped with hob, micowave kettle, coffe make amd cooking equipment. clean and comfortable.  Good outside sitting space . Easy access for shops and centre of Nairobi.  Pleaseant helpful staff. 

Good place to stay

The location was perfect for what we needed to do. Spacious room, lovely quiet neighborhood and made use of the safe walks nearby away from the busy traffic. Booking was easy and prompt replies. Staffs were helpful for any queries we had – next time I would just pack a small kit for washing up as we made full use of the self-catering opportunity. Also with the new access road from Wayaki Way towards Village Market meant getting to and from was easy. 

Nairobi stay

The place is lovely and quiet, it was the third I came there and I have always been satisfied with the staff and the premises. I warmly recommend this accommodation, especially if you want to be away from more agitated neighborhoods and be close to UN infrastructures.  

It is the second time I was staying there and I again enjoyed. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The units are cosy and clean. The place is in a very quiet and lovely estate, where one can go on a stroll on leafy streets without traffic. A place to be warmly recommended!

We enjoyed the cosy but extremely convenient studio and found Nairobi extremely relaxing, save, economic and jummy between the years. Food at Zen Garden round the corner was excellent, even though not cheap

Charming and great value for money

We had a very comfortable stay in the Magadi Studio of this property. The staff was extremely polite and hospitable and was always ready to help us with any assistance we needed. The place was clean and well maintained and the daily cleaning service of the studio was perfect. The place provided a homely feel. A few things can further improve the comfort for the guests: fixing a towel rail in the bathroom, provision of an electric cattle in the kitchen and provision for the use of more than one connection to the internet per person.

Very comfortable stay

BE WARNED ! ! There was apparently a problem with my reservation and the receptionist was told by the owner to charge me an extra 2,500 Kenyan shillings after i had already paid for my reservation through booking.com ( this then changed to be 50 US dollars after the owner changed the booking conditions on booking .com. I was appalled and then felt sorry for the poor receptionist come who had to come again and apologetically ask for more money from me). I initially refused to pay the amount and i was forced to show the receptionist confirmation of my payment from booking.com as well as the money leaving my account and going to booking.com. I had stated clearly on my reservation how many people were going to be staying on the studio flat and paid the amount quoted on booking.com. The poor lady tried explaining to the owner that i have paid for the reservation but the owner insisted it was my problem and i had to go out of my way and contact booking.com to resolve the issue. I could not even walk out of my apartment without the poor lady harassing me for the money even though i was staying there for four nights ( off course on orders from the boss). The owner refused to speak to me at all costs and the poor receptionist was caught in the middle trying to resolve the problem. I rarely leave reviews on websites but i just had to go out of my way to do this one because this was very appalling the treatment me and my family received from the management. The staff have hearts of gold but if the management cannot go out of their way to resolve a customers complaint then they should not be in the hospitality industry. I also raised a complain with booking.com who were kind enough to refund more than half the amount of which i got overcharged. Word of caution, make sure you state the names and ages of your children and how many you have before you confirm and pay for a booking or you will leave yourself at the mercy of the unhelpful management.

Apalling customer service from management

Lakeview district is located in a quiet part of Nairobi but still within easy access of the city center. The studios are comfortable, clean and a great value for money. The staff is very friendly and efficient and everything has been thought out to make your stay memorable. An excellent restaurant, the Garden of Zen is within walking distance of the studios. We highly recommend this place to travellers looking for quiet and authentic accomodations.
