We stayed here at the lovely guest house/hotel from 7th Sep till 13 Sep 18?and i would say it was worth it.
We arrived mid night and to our surprise the check in was done smoothly, rooms were ready and without any questions asked they gave us the room.

The owners of the guest house were so amazingly helpfull and curtious that they did not even charge any thing for kids breakfast plus they extended support in advising us to use grab services instead of taxi to save money which indeed was very very helpful.

There are two boys who work there any honestly very hard working, supportive and loving boys.
For me you dont have to waste whole lot of money in 4..5 star hotels, this guest house in Bali will help you save money which you can spend on other activities.

Would love to visit the same hotel again in near future.

Amazing

Rest room big and clean , shower hot water so good / bed rooms comfort and good smell/ big tv and ac so cool .cheap price , stay at guest house but fell like 5 star hotel . Staff are friendly.Tempat ini murah dan saya ingin kembali 


The best place in bali for stay 

Since it's not really a hotel, I would review it short and brief.

Minuses:
No variety breakfast. Just the omelette everyday!
No toiletries like shampoo, soap, soap bar and dental kit.
No floor mat inside the bathroom
No hand towel, and it is very crucial because whenever I brushed my teeth or washed my face at the sink the water got every where and it's all messy.
No international tv channel
The room is a little dark
The bathroom is also a little dark
Wifi isn't consistent. some days it works some days it doesn't.

Pluses:
Love the breakfast! it is very tasty.
The staff was really friendly!
The check-in and check-out process was quick.
Room was clean enough
The location was really great!

I would deff go back here for my next time visit

A pleasant stay but I hope it improves by the next stay

I travelled solo and I arranged a pick up at international airport for after midnight  with Kubu Carik and requested a ground floor room as I have bad knees. Everything went to plan, My driver was waiting with a welcoming smile my air-conditioned room was ready. The water was hot and the bed was comfortable. My in-room breakfast which was included in the price of the room was a delicious scramble eggs on toast. My girlfriend who lives in Bali came to visit me and we sat on the patio area talking till my late check out. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. I would definitely recommend Kubu Carik. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Excellent first night stay in Bali

I am back again soon for the 3rd time, same room. You get what you pay for anywhere....Well that's not true, a lot of people get fooled by the internet pics etc. and when they get there they find they have been misled, by directly booking or going through online agencies, and then the problems with staff and refunds and dirty rooms and infestation problems start which in turn ruins the holiday experience and the in house fighting begins.I avoid all this when I stay at Kabu carik.Yes the breakfast is more of a snack, but the shops are just at the end of the street and large Shopping centre Carefour is not far (and has more fruit variety and goods than home) so is Bali Bakery, and Ace hardware for anything you forgot or need. It costs me $25 a night for 2 of us,and that's great value as its very quiet and money I can spend elsewhere buying  a lovely breakfast and meals with what I save....up to $75 and over I save per night compared to some. We push the two single beds together and make the bed like a double and ask for a small fridge in advance. There is always a guest floating around so easy to ask them for local knowledge if needed. Air Cond works great and the place is very secure and I always feel safe, and feels clean. Lying on the nice grass at nights is great, and the gardens are well kept. Yes be active and ask them for what you need...more towels, empty bin etc. and they get it done no worries. I like walking so it not a problem for me to enjoy the walk to the beach which is no Gold Coast beach so also don't be fooled by the post cards. Look at the Poor reviews for Bali Guest villas which is closer to the beach and costs lots more compared to here, also it's in a noisy area that's not real safe, a red light area for those who knows what that means. Bring your laptop and a long Hdmi cable then you can watch the cheap burnt movies you got at the markets, and if they no good then take them back before its too late and you already home. And the Wi-Fi is great.The owner here at Kabu Carik always gets his friend to deliver me a bike to ride which is cheaper the longer I want it and do your self a big favour, Wear your helmet always, Get an International license, (they are cheap and last 12 months). Have a COPY only of your passport and normal valid license from home and International License. (Stops corrupt Police or business owners taking and holding the original for ransom.) GET Travel insurance. The main thing I have on my travel insurance is unlimited medical...and the Insurance companies first thing is to check all those Licenses and if you were wearing a helmet. If you don't they wont pay out...Don't listen to anyone else who tells you that you wont get caught by police and you don't need a license or Insurance. I have seen Police just standing on corners waiting for fools with no helmet's and licenses to grab money off. And some ask up to $300 aud and take your original passport for ransom....Remember Bali is a casual place and not with the standards you expect from home, but saying that relax, save yourself some money and chill at Kabu Carik, enjoy the humidity and the local food, and treat it like you are a casual lazy tourist....If you want 5 star you wont truly get it in Bali unless you want to lock your self in a suite and hide.....Enjoy

Cheap Hotel. Friendly service. The owners are friendly to customers. I love to stay here and not get bored staying here.
Rooms are quiet and suitable for privacy. Hot water works well. Soap and towels provided.
Unfortunately, breakfast is not variety. May staff can be replaced with toast / omelette egg is better. so that the customer is satisfied, because not all customers like to eat a thin flour dough every stay here.

Cheap, love it, friendly staff but breakfast not good

We wanted to be near Papaya Grocery, Carrefour, and Bali Bakery. Plus the AC keep is very cool, the wifi is blazing, and the showers are hot. I'm not sure there is a better budget around, and this is a good resting place away from all the hustling closer to the beach.
