It was my first time visiting Budapest and I wanted a location that was affordable and also close to the sights. The Csaszar Hotel is in a prime location to everything you need and also close to the tram station if you wish to venture further out. The rooms are a bit basic but still comfortable with plenty of room. The staff was very helpful in offering places to go and things to do. Breakfast is provided and offers a decent meal before you go out to hit the town.  There is an Olympic sized pool which I believe you can use and a thermal spa just around the corner. Some have mentioned issues with noise but there was never an issue during my stay. I greatly enjoyed this hotel and would do so again.

A Great Location to Stay for the Traveler on a Budget

The hotel met our requirements for a short stay in Budapest. It was clean and quiet. The room was small, but enough, the air was sufficient. The staff is fluent in English and tries to help. The Lukash bathroom and several restaurants are perfectly close. The hotel has an excellent sports 50m open pool that operates all year round. Before breakfast the swimming pool is lively. The breakfast is normal. The set of amenities fully covers the price of accommodation.

We booked a tour of Budapest at the company Robinson because of a direct charter flight. And the hotel was chosen from the list offered by this company. We chose this hotel mainly because of its proximity to the Lukács bath. This is its main plus. That is, if you are going to Budapest and intend to visit the thermal baths every day, then two baths are within 5 minutes of walking distance: Lukács baths and the Turkish Great baths. In the hotel itself there is a lovely large open-air swimming pool. But in January we never decided to swim there.

It's not bad in general, but it's old, and the person next door sounds like he's in your room, with a stained-glass pan, a bed linen with holes, a room that's very small, like a bathroom, breakfast that's cold and very modest, but convenient location and price is affordable, and it'll be great for a couple nights.
