On August 1st, between flight and flight, I spent a few hours at the Diva Hotel in Athens.In fact, I had booked in another establishment where I had already been on another occasion and I was delighted; what happened?For in this hotel where I had booked, there was an accident and I was sent to the Diva (they had the kindness to pay me the taxi).The latter is a very, very, very obsolete and basic hotel where everything is as it was for forty years or more ago.Even the reception staff did not know a word of English, which I think is very serious in a capital like Athens where in most places visitors are spoken in English.For example, I had a Greek and a half-Greek accent.Because it refers to the room where I was resting, I took care of the balcony, the balcony and the bathroom, and no one doubted that I would be able to get into a hotel with a black light.

Pessimo, so as not to return.

It was the worst hotel i ever stayed in, i have been traveling for over 20 yrs now & each year i make between 6 to 7 trips, & i have stayed in over a 100 different hotels, nvr seen such a place, would not even consider recommending it to any1 ever

Worst hotel ever

I don't know where to start, in the sense of cleanliness, its the dirtiest place ever, In regards to the staff, they are the worst , in regards of being comfortable, its not at all, in regards toHotel condition, well ill post pictures & you decide,

Bad hotel the worst ever

-: Staff speaking only Greek or Albanian (sympathetic though!)... No parking. No elevator. No breakfast. No lighting. Blowing light. Window overlooking a yard/bar. Doubting decoration. No layout. Limited cleanliness. One towel per person. Bathroom to be renovated (broken sidewalk, bank toilets,...). Dirty carpet. Very weak wifi signal in the room. A little out of focus (but transportation nearby). + Effective air conditioning.

The hotel DIVA no longer cooperates with this booking portal according to its own information, so it was also unprepared for our visit!!! we had nevertheless got a room..a rather old-fashioned lottery with a spare price.

DIVA doesn't know anything!

My group of 11 people stayed here for the Athens Marathon thinking it was a hotel, but found out its actually a brothel. The lady at the front desk was on some kind of drug and tried to steal our passports multiple times. The next day the lady decided to change us more money or was going to kick us out even when we already paid in full on Air BnB. Do not still here, absolutely awful

Absolutely Awful

Rooms are barely cleaned and smell very strongly of cigarette smoke. The whole hotel is more likely to be suitable only for smokers. It moves through the windows in the rooms in the winter. Very noisy to the side of the street. Staff is unfaithful to guests. We will not stay here again and have moved out earlier.

4 nights at the Diva Hotel

My husband and I stayed here in June 2008 while in Athen's for a cousin's wedding.  While it was a long walk to the metro we absolutely loved the neighborhood and plaza around the corner.  You have to have a bit of humour to stay in Hotel Diva but we found it fine for a couple of nights, even with the ridiculous decor.  THe staff were friendly, helped us out of tough spot with taxi drivers and gave us plenty of guidance with maps and brochures.

Interesting place in the heart of Athens life

We stayed at the Diva as an overnight's stay to catch a flight in the morning. For 35 Euros we could have asked for more, but would not consider it for more than one night. The bed and the bathroom was excepionally comfortable, however it was on the same floor as the bar and the reception. The room was tiny, but enough for a good night's sleep. The hotel did not offer breakfast before 9am, so we had to go to the airport without. As soon as you have figured where to go, you can catch public means of transport easily, however being Greek defenitely helps getting along with the staff.
Overall good value for money, but not quite as described on thew website.
