The location is very close to the public transport. At the entrance to the building there is a small shop that is always open. The apartment is cozy and well furnished, complete with everything necessary for the kitchen...including dishwashers! The excellent heating! The only negative note is that we would need some extra towels!

It's perfect!

Apartment well located in a beautiful and well-connected neighborhood. Picking up the keys has been an odyssey. We went to a badulake where no English was spoken. Hard to access the building. We entered thanks to the kindness of the neighbors who showed us how to use the portal key, which was magnetic and did not indicate where to place the pulsar, where there were several buildings. The apartment was dirty. The TV was no other. No, I recommend it.

Horrible, when we arrived we had to go first to a store to pick up the keys, the lady who was catering to us, she spoke no English and only German, and instead of making herself understood, she spoke to us louder and treated us as if we were fools, the floor was 10 minutes from the store, like the rest of the days we didn't have to go to see this chick because we were better off, but on the last day we called to ask if we could leave the suitcases behind, and they told us that in the store where we picked up the keys, they treated us the same way and if we left our suitcases there, it's a pity to have this person there who does this kind of service, and honestly wouldn't come back.

The right apartment, the wrong treatment of the client.

We booked the Lodge for 6 of us on a hen do. We weren't expecting luxury but on first arrival we were a bit dissapointed as it smelt a bit nasty and it was a bit rough round the edges.

The pictures on the website are clearly VERY old and show it during better days. Having said this we grew to love the place and the location is amazing.

It is very cheap to stay here (less tahn £20 per night per person) so I guess we might have been expecting a bit much for the price.

It's great for a large party of mates who just need somewhere to stay right in the heart of a great area with lots of lovely bars and cafes.

If you're looking for clean luxury then this isn't for you.

Bit grotty but GREAT location

We went in two even though the apartment was for 4 people (it wasn't specified, and the price was also low for 2 people). Even in 4 there is plenty of space; kitchen small but acceptable, bathroom a bit small. NB: don't pay attention to the door and stairs, inside is a whole other thing.

It's a great apartment.

Plus, it's an old, interesting house, but the room we had was like a communal room, three huge rooms with high flows, a small kitchen, one bathroom with bathroom for everyone, and it's cold.

We were in Berlin for 5 days. The apartment was nice for people who like old buildings (not luxury), but not exactly as described and promised. Maybe a change of furniture would be advantageous. But it was quite clean and the kitchen was also practical. The subway is a few minutes walk away. You have to count on 10-15 minutes. In the bathroom of our apartment it stank because there is a restaurant downstairs in the adjoining building! There are clearly more beautiful living quarters, but in general the apartment was OK.

It's all right.

It looks very well located to go out at night, have a drink or eat well. The Indian restaurant and the Italian restaurant at the foot of the building are extras. The back street is full of bars of all kinds in a very good atmosphere. Family quarter during the day and kindly festive in the evening. To reach the historic center of Berlin the metro is 10 minutes walk away and the tram passes through the street below. So a good point as well. For the accommodation itself, very brief equipment, rather clean, but very old furniture, comfortable sofa with cigarette holes, very simple bathroom.

Mixed

Nice location - that was it. House, apartment and interior furnishings are in urgent need of a renovation! For Berlin this is still completely overpriced. Clean woman either did not do her job at all or with very little attention to detail. The super location has also, of course, disadvantages in terms of noise and odor pollution.... (unfortunately) one of the worst hotel/hostel experiences ever.

Falling and overpriced

The location is great - that's the only positive fact about Lodge Berlin. The building is in a terrible state, very run-down. Although the photos on the website look different, the apartment itself is very basic, without any comfort. We had apartment no. 1: couch with stains, broken chair, wardrobe without a door. And you can't lock the door from the inside. 

It's definitely not recommendable for families, as the apartment is very noisy. We asked for a baby bed, but there was no bed clothing or decent mattress.

It seems that some people found a way to make some easy. Beware of this and don't go there.
