The small hotel is not exactly in the best part of Berlin, but it is very safe and clean. The staff are all very friendly all the time. My expectations were exceeded. The breakfast buffet is also very good for 7€.

Very friendly - very clean

Basic rooms, but clean and kept in good condition. This hotel is not top class, but makes great value for the money. Pretty poor internet connection, often changing from high speed to no connection. Quiet neighborhood, limited parking places nearby.

Decent hotel with good location

We stayed at this hotel from 10 - 15th October 2015.  I booked two rooms, one double and one single.  The hotel was located rather further away from the centre than I expected but this was my fault when booking.  The rooms were comfortable but sparsely furnished.  The TV was not good as the internal aerial was placed on the window sill and every time we closed the curtains the aerial fell on the floor.   The rooms were cleaned daily and towels changed.  The Continental breakfast was good with plenty of choice.  WiFi was free but could only be accessed  in the reception area.  Staff were friendly and helpful.   Would I stay at this hotel again - possibly

BERLIN EXPERIENCE

I was at the hotel in the center of the hotel, but that was almost the only thing that spoke for the hotel. We arrived late at night and there was no one at the reception or in general to open the door for us. Then we were greeted unkindly and it wasn't really a room reserved, but it was then looked at which room was still open. Through an internal communication we were woken up before our departure date and told that we had booked a day shorter. There was no computer to check the reservation. The hotel is clean and equipped with a small bathroom.

Weak hotel

The hotel's receptionist and owner is very nice. The hotel is very well located, you can see different tourist spots on foot. I got to know everything on foot, I only used the subway to see the wall, the rest to walk. The room is comfortable, cozy and clean. It's a tip for anyone who wants to get to know Berlin without spending much.

Great cost x benefit

I got out of check-in time, there were the ladies in the kitchen (who only speak German) who let me in and gave me the room anyway. Typical 70s hotel with carpets and fake flowers. Clean, but a little too old style in my opinion. Breakfast not exaggerated but okay. 5 minutes walk from Ponstdamer Platz. Completely, good location but style to renovate.

Old-fashioned hotel, not bad.

The hotel is a little dated, with a small hall/dwelling in red tones, with fake flowers, statues and carpets everywhere. Not in the city center, with a ten minute walk around you are in Potsdamer Platz. We were greeted in a kind of reception/office by a rather kind lady, who assigned us the rooms, a double and a double. We actually had booked two couples but, according to the lady, they were over. To overcome the problem and after our persistent requests, she decided to combine the separate beds. The room, rather spacious and not very detailed, was discreetly cleaned overall. The breakfast was quite varied, both of the cups and cups. We were not so badly booked, but then we looked for other solutions.

A little dated, not the most.

The hotel is ok - basic what you need for sleeping over. It gets a bit noisy from the water running in the morning and evening. Wifi is only close to the reception. Breakfest is nice and so is the staff (doesn't speak much english). Using public transportatio you get to centre in 20 mins.

The hotel is well located, you can walk to several places. The room was nice, clean, not very big, but in good condition. The breakfast was very nice. Before I arrived I received a detailed e-mail explaining how to get to the hotel from the airport. We stayed for two nights, and everything went very well.

Disclaimer: my rating is based on the price I paid and the expectations I had for it. And of all, the location of this hotel.

For that price you get a basic room. 
The bed is rather spartan but pretty comfortable. 
It is not fancy but satisfying for the purpose of it: to be near the center of the city.
The room and the hotel in general are very clean. As mentioned before, the staff is very friendly and want to help.
It si a "family" intimate hotel and you'll get a personal treatment which is nice.

The breakfast is good. Orange juice, coffee, cheese, hams, yogurt, boiled eggs. It is cheap for what you get. It was good for me. If you want you can enjoy the various bakeries around the hotel. No lack in those in Berlin... 

I enjoined staying in this hotel. Mainly sleeping - it is quiet neighborhood and the breakfast. 
Also, it is 5 minutes walk from the metro - u-bahn, which is great.
