Comrades! I want to help you not to come here!!!. 1. Driving by car and parking was extremely important. I asked about this in advance. We promised to reserve a place. Upon arrival we contacted the concierge, but he just gave us the key, saying that there were no places and he doesn't speak English. 2. The apartment was searched for 15 minutes. In the house and in fact labyrinths with the same doors. 3. The smell in the apartments is unbearable. Dust, cockroaches, dirty (black) sheds and tulips.

It's dirty.

I've read a few negative reviews about this place but I don't really see the problem. It's not the Ritz hotel. It was certainly more than acceptable for a city break. Bed was really comfortable. It was a little awkward to find at first then go round to a separate entrance to the apartment block after collecting the key.  My only criticism is that there was hair in the bath plug hole. The rest of the apartment was as clean as I'd expect though. I hadn't stayed in an apartment before when travelling, only hotels - be sure to bring shampoo and body wash. Someone else posted saying it's spitting distance of checkpoint charlie and it  really is! My balcony looked out to it pretty much. 

I'd return!

Great location for travel connections and tourist spots

To be honest I had some reservations about these apartments, from reading other reviews and even on first impression when I walked into my apartment, a few things weren't working, but nothing that would really hinder your stay here. 

Whilst they are a little dated, the price and location is just unbeatable. The apartments are really no different to what you get booking an Airbnb apartment.

The doorman was pleasant, and thankfully one of the friendly cleaning staff helped me work out the tricky lock to the apartment door.

Don't expect a five star hotel, but if you want a basic place to call your own for your stay in the heart of
Berlin, this is a good choice. Especially handy if you are planning a few evenings at the Gendarmenmarkt Christmas market, which is only a couple of blocks down.

Ps. Zwipf cafe downstairs have some of the best coffee and croissants I've had throughout my entire stay in Germany. Great place get your caffeine hot before a big day of exploring.

Brilliant location

Our apartment on the 5th floor was clean and solid up to the back of the oven. Good beds, clean bedding, enough bathroom and towels. We really appreciated the large balcony and had breakfast there every day. Only the back of the oven was very dirty, everything else in the kitchen was clean. Careful with parking, the facility does ask for a garage, but ONLY FOR cars up to 1.5 meters in height. So no SUV. It's right next door to a public garage, but it costs the double 20 euros a day. The location was really perfect, everything was within walking distance.

We were satisfied.

It's awful. That you can still rent something like this nowadays. It's unbelievable. The apartment has to be changed twice. First apartment: clobrille with urine and blood stains from the previous ones, completely sticky & crushed light switches and door handles. Broken up, backpacks with food leftovers, water cooks without lime filters. Shower head is white over lime. Mold in all tiles and in the air filter. Floor of the bathroom glued with PVC, but this one was tried to be fixed on the doorstep with Tesaco film (which of course doesn't hold up). Tapes roll up from the door. Bed linen is flushed. But to spare the cleanest teas from the bathroom one sprayed early until late. I'd rather sleep, because it doesn't blow up completely and in the air filter. The floor of the bathroom is glued with PVC, but this one was tried to be fixed with Tesaco film (which, of course, doesn't hold up). Tapes roll up from the doorstep. But the bathroom

Absolutely No Go

Good points: spacious, has things you need like coffee maker, hairdryer etc. Location is great, spitting distance to checkpoint Charlie and subway station with quick links across the city. Our room had a balcony. 

Not so good points: not very clean, we had to clean the bath before using the shower (and we don’t have particularly high standards!), generally needs a good clean and there was strange smell to the apartment; fridge didn’t work which meant food was wasted, double bed is actually 2 uncomfortable singles pushed together which roll apart almost immediately. Also towels and toilet roll supply was not enough for 4 nights - although you pay a service charge it’s not serviced. 

Overall, not terrible and a bit overpriced for the quality and cleanliness.

Great location...cleanliness not so great

The apartment is very well equipped, there is nothing missing for a stay of a few days (6 in our case), especially since each visitor leaves consumables (coffee filters, oil etc.). It is true that the person at the reception makes little effort to speak a language other than German, we manage to make ourselves understand even if we do not speak it. We regret that the bathroom sink is (superficially) and the bad bed of the sofa in particular. But if we had to go to Berlin, we would undoubtedly have to return to this extremely calm environment.

The apartment is large, quiet and functional, everything was present and functional. The furniture is a little dated, the cleaning is sufficient. Very quiet. Very quiet. Negative notes the absence of luggage storage, at check-out you have to leave without flexibility. However, I highly recommend.

Good choice

I'm sure the location is great but only that... the apartment was dirty, poorly furnished and messy... the support staff was unprofessional and there was no luggage storage service, which is very important for a tourist... I would have paid an extra and would have preferred to enjoy the day instead of walking around the train stations looking for a closet to leave the suitcase...

Dirty and without luggage storage

Positive aspects: excellent location. Only 200 meters from the subway. The apartment is comfortably furnished and clean. The kitchen is sufficiently equipped. There is also a small supermarket just below the stable that allows you to buy the necessary without wandering. The sofa bed is good for 2 children: 2 adults would be uncomfortable. Negative aspects: the bathroom is windowless and emits that bad smell of closure. The dishwasher did not work. There is also a reception: the doorkeeper at the entrance does not offer some service to tourists.
