I liked having nature around me and its fulfilling breathtaking beauty. The owners/staff are very friendly and understanding; beautiful people. It was a pleasure to meet them. Hearing a river flowing and the tranquil sounds of a waterfall on the property; amazing to both fall asleep to and awaken to. Hummingbirds to admire, a swimming pool, soccer field, volley ball, a kids playground for families with younger ones, a walking path, hammocks, and breakfast provided. I had my own car and speak Spanish, so I enjoyed everything I wanted to do and see on my stay. Some good things to see were mentioned by the owners/staff. Positive energy. I did not have any dislikes.

In a radiant valley that takes the name of Tulip lies this hostel, a stretch of the territory of the rural parish of Nanegalito, northwest of the Metropolitan District of Quito, which insists on us, day and night, in the need to study the remote presence of our equinocial cultures.

This hostel is a good option for a full day, we took this option as it included breakfast, lunch and use of all facilities at a good price being a carnival holiday. The excellent service, always attentive to any request considering that there were many people even when we requested an extra plate already finished, that is the only complaint or point of improvement. The two meals are very good in their options and care in preparation, cleaning and decoration. The facilities and swimming pools are clean. The place is not very large for very cozy. The point of improvement is that they hand out towels to every person in this option on the Internet more if there are small children. Go back to spend at least one night. no need, if you are going to rest and enjoy nature; if you want to discover nature, this is not very important.

You want to see coffee plantations, subtropical climate, and ruins from the earlier times? Sumak Pakari has it all and even more. Behind the big gate awaits you a pool, restaurant and private rooms with many necessities.

Sumak Pakari offers first-class treatment with a neat ambient all around it. A football and a volleyball field are located just as you walk through a lush field of flowers you might not have seen before. The landscaping has a comforting atmosphere including palm trees, a small succulent garden, and other subtropical flowers.

The private suits include a jacuzzi, flatscreens, and internet. Right behind the hotel, a trailhead starts that will give you the first peaks of the subtropical nature. For a longer walk, you can walk through the coffee plantations to las Toalas from the main road. Additionally, Tulip is a site of the ruins of the Yumbo peoples. This tribe came to the Sacred Valley of Tulipe around 800 BCE leaving behind an interesting collection of archaeological remains. If that is not yet enough to disconnect from the busy streets in Quito, maybe you want to grab one of the bikes provided by Sumak Pakari and go for a bike ride.

As you come back from your hike, you can take a quick jump in a nice clean pool back at the hotel, after that just dry off and get ready for the local specialties offered in the restaurant.

Lastly, Tulipe offers everything you need, with a few restaurants, a shop and bus service it can even be reached by public transport. Already the drive by itself makes this visit unforgettable.

Very friendly staff, tasty food. It seems like a hung-out place for Ecuadorians from Quito. Beautiful landscape and jungle around. Quiet and lonely not like hippies Mindo but close enough to the sights. You need a rental car to get around. Nice experience. Rooms in lodge type. Not much comfort but nice and clean.

Nice lodge close to nature

He found the Hosteria Sumak Pakari looking for a package to surprise my boyfriend for his birthday. He wanted a Romantic package that would allow us a little escape from reality. I found what I was looking for here and trusted him without knowing the place and my trust was well answered. Not so far from Quito, we arrived in Tulip in about two hours maximum and were picked up at the entrance of the Hosteria Street by the owner, since ahi nos dimos says that the place offers a familiar and welcoming treatment. All the weekend we have made ourselves feel very good. The structure, beautiful and characteristic, is located in a super well-groomed natural area that offers a real escape from the city thanks to contact with nature, the river, the folklore. We have eaten, made a relational mass, and enjoyed all the context of the season.

While it is true that the food is delicious and the attention is very focused, the cabin that touched us was very far from the hotel level that we usually frequented. We could sleep comfortably as it rained all night and watched the street on the metal roof and the incoming Tulip Colchón, which was of good quality, which included prices for the carnival holidays. There were enough towels to connect to the archaeological and cultural sites in the vicinity of the hotel, but in addition, there is a very good quality of accommodation in the vicinity of the hotel, which is very close to the city centre.

An ecological hostel with facilities.

An excellent care, good food, good rooms, a quiet place and the very comfortable place.If you recommend wearing repellent, the pool water is very refreshing and above all its administrators are very kind, friendly and the food super good, in general is a hostel where sex can be spent quietly, away from the noise of the city, a place to relax, walk the trails and enjoy nature.

Beside the 1 hour tour to the museum, there is nothing else to do specially evening/nigth. No restaurant service, very cold water pool, not sauna, no turco, not jacuzzi, at 6 pm no restaurant service at the place,   the 2 restaurants in town closed we end dinning cookies with juice. Poor wifi service, no pool, pingpong table, entertain room, nothing to do. Facilities are all rigth, conftable room, but with all cabins empty besides ours and other, they asigned us next to the other, not thinking about guest confort. Much to work on, very booring.
