This is the one place that took me back to the good times of Otres Beach. I was staying some place else and having the worst holiday of my life. After walking down the beach I discovered Footprints and immediately change my stay here. I loved it, my whole trip change. Nice people, great vibes, just in front of the beach. I wish I could stay here mote days.

Awesome place

This establishment should not be called a hostel. We were skeptical booking here based on other reviews but thought, how bad could it really be? Horrendous doesn’t even cover it. The bed area was up a basically vertical ladder, not ideal with a backpack.

There were 14 bunk beds rammed into a room that was like an attic. No lights or fans were on because they wanted to play music downstairs instead. 

The place was riddled with flys, frogs and had dogs and cats wondering around. The chill out area was dirty like it hadn’t ever been cleaned. A random mattress had been abandoned outside? I couldn’t even bring myself to go into  bathrooms which looked filthy from the outside.

We have stayed in your average hostel and can understand an odd cockroach but we stayed 3 hours before we had left and checked into somewhere else.

Please please please do not put yourself through staying here.

If I could rate 0 stars I would 

DO NOT STAY HERE!! We arrived at 4pm and left at 7:30pm that same afternoon to go elsewhere. This fly infested hell hole looked as though it had not been properly cleaned in months! When we arrived we got taken to our ‘dorm’ which was an outside wooden shack in which they had some how rammed 14 bunk beds in. The staff member that took us there explained that the fans are not turned on because they are using generator for the sound system on the beach!! Good start!!
All beds had mosquito nets which had holes in. I attempted to try and relax in my bed but could not as it was unbearably hot (can’t imagine how awful it is trying to actually sleep in there). 
You have to go to the ‘chill out’ area if you want any sort of WIFI connection where dogs and cats were sat on the furniture along side dirty saucepans. 
Don’t even get me started on the bathroom I felt dirtier after I’d used it. 
Such a waste of a great location!! Right on beach just steps away from other bars and restaurants.

Fine example of you get what you pay for but quite frankly I wouldn’t stay here if someone paid me.

WORST hostel I have EVER step foot in

At first the hotel seems top, nice beach, nice music, good pizza! but once we get into the room we are much less excited. We asked for a bungalow for two people, already it is located right next to the bathroom. The constant noise of people taking a shower or going to the bathroom makes you feel like you are with them at any time of the day or night. The bathroom is just horrible, brown water, drainage of sewage that left a smell all over the room, toilets that leak when you want to hunt on the beaches where you are going. So with zero shower pressure, with the water after hours you have luck (and brown). The bed is equipped with very dirty mosquitoes and noises, and the yellow drums and noises are very dirty, and we are also talking about the noise of the night when we are going to the bathroom.

Running away

I checked in for 2 days for the kerfuffle festival. Stayed for 7. This place is paradise. 2 super chilled bars and one is on the white sand beach. The food is great, parties are so fun. The staff are awesome....especially lizzie

footprints is a perfect place to meet nice people! everybody welcomes you and let you be a part of it. if you like party- you’re right here. if not there is also a very nice chilling area with tv or wifi. enjoy good food! good drinks! good people :)

Love the location.Good hostel with reasonable price. Recommended for price-conscious travelers.The beds were super comfy, the staff were helpful.Really nice, well run and with a beautiful beach.The food was fresh, properly prepared and a great value for the price.Also had awesome beer

We went to this hostel on a recommendation from a friend who was here about 1.5 years ago. We were super disappointed because it wasn't what she described it was. Although the hostel had a great location right by the sea, there's not a lot of cleanliness written here. The bathrooms were super dirty, the water was brown and felt like everyone in the hostel kept getting wet. We booked 4 days, two of them we had a power outage, no running water, and the toilet toilet wash didn't go accordingly either. In one clock, the toilet was even pinched on the toilet seat. We assume that the person was so stoned that she didn't notice it. It's a shame that it seems like things have changed here in 1.5 years. Absolutely not recommended.

Not to recommend!

I came here on the 29th of December 2018 for one day. I stayed here for 10 days. I just couldn't leave. I wanted to live there forever. I wasn't used to living in hostels. But! I didn't want to leave. Basically it's a big area where there are two buildings. The second floors of the buildings are residential. Next I'll call buildings 1 and 2 a day away from the sea, where 1 is nearby.

Best of the best

We immediately liked the announcement of the hotel: Beautiful beach, cabin in the trees, small living room and bar by the sea. On the spot, you quickly notice the anomalies of the place: WC and shower VERY dirty, all the tables are sticky (staff never sponge or other), beach with not a lot of ants especially under the tables (probably due to lack of cleanliness..), and you should not be in a hurry to eat, the person at the restaurant bar looked like the whole West! In zero organization! I would not describe the boss and staff as unwelcoming people, but a smile is difficult to have.. last thing, being slightly isolated, they had money on the tables most rarely prepared the big bills (100 $), the small coupons (100 $..
